He’s not fast enough to be a gunner, but he is physical enough to be on kick coverage teams and I think he will at least get a chance to return punts. Also, if they like his upside but he isn’t enough of a special teams contributor he can simply be inactive on game days like DMR was all last year as the #5 TE. Looks like he did a little of it last year - 7 returns for 39 yards - but no idea the circumstances. The shitty ACC also should be in context here in terms of translating to the NFL.
