Moon: Titans Have New Uniforms Coming Soon

This whole "slap in the face of Tennesseans" is overblown.  The state barely supports the team as is for the past 30 years.  A change is coming whether anyone likes it.  If you dig your heels in now, you'll feel the need to stand on principle and rob yourself of enjoyment.

Man. Tonight is the last night this little baby will be our logo. You’ve served us well for almost 30 years little fella.    🫡

I'd make a few changes:

I like the Oilers jersey with the thumbtack look better than any titans jersey thus far. That said, I really wish we'd just re-brand to the Tennessee Oilers if we're going to be essentially doing that anyways. We had fracking here in TN for a while, so those rigs require a derrick tower too. Rebranding to the oilers is fine and haters would get over it eventually. I suppose this is the next best thing though. The Athens of the South thing is dumb and hokey. Nashville is a mediocre, mid-sized city, surrounded by stupid rednecks. It's nothing like Athens other than the replica of the Parthenon.

I think the Red Stars add depth to the helmet and make it look more complete.

Im not 100% no red. A star or a stripe even the facemask is fine. But large amounts a

starts clashing imo

I'm on the opposite end of a lot of this. I don't want bland, generic, inoffensive ("classic") corporate BS. I don't want us to be half the old Oilers and half the TN Titans -- that to me shows even more shame of who we are now, that we retreat back to nostalgia and some antiseptic white logo.

I want us going all in on being the Athens of the South. I want the stadium referred to as the Coliseum again(or go full Greece and call it the Acropolis). I want Greek mythology branding and messaging and someone to roast the Racoon mascot at halftime, like some ritualistic sacrifice to the gods. I want flaming helmets, flaming swords, real fucking flames being shot  up all around the new stadium, a Greek Phalanx coming out pre-game to shepherd our team in.

Go big, obnoxious, and unapologetic. We're in a world where athletes get paid millions to give each other CTE. Make fun show of it.

This 1000x.   Go big, go gauche, go chromatic two tone blue with attitude.

Having a clean, classic uniform has nothing to do with being inoffensive or corporate. GTFO with that. It's about being classy and professional, rather than looking like a bush league arena team. The Seahawks managed to go bold and pull it off - their unis are cool. We'll see how they hold up in ten years. Even if it would be cool to go bold, the Titans have shown the ability to royally fuck it up. I would much rather have something clean that will hold up through the years so we aren't having to re-brand every fucking ten years. 49ers, Packers, Raiders, Browns, Steelers, Giants, Bills, Eagles, Cowboys, Dolphins, Colts. These have had subtle changes over the years but are all instantly recognizable. I'd rather risk being boring and be in that camp than look like arena league clowns.

I think you are conflating two different arguments. The logo was said to be corporate, sterile and boring. People dont want an oiler uniform copy because we are not the oilers.

You also lose 5 points for mentioning the browns. The browns are instantly recognizable because only an idiot wears shit and orange.

The comment about being corporate seemed to be about the whole branding. But even if it's just about the logo, what's wrong with having a simple logo? Less is more IMO. Unless your mascott is an animal or something it makes sense just to keep the logo simple. The Cowboys just have a star on their helmet! How boring! No one has ever said that.

I'm totally fine with this. Although most of these teams have dabbled into different branding. The 49ers went to a different look from the late 90s to 2010s. The Browns had an awful rebrand during the Manziel years.  The Bills did some weird things and to me still look wrong without a red helmet. The Dolphins have committed the most heretical by changing from their classic 70s to mid 90s look.   The Eagles have a modern uniform that's nothing like the original.

Of the teams you mentioned, only the Raiders, Packers, Colts and Cowboys have never changed.

I would love a simple, classic Titans jersey. I want that in two-tone blue, not this.  I think it's almost a lock that they'll rebrand back to two-tone blue within ten years once people realize it's pretty fucking stupid to always look like another city's team on a weekly basis.
