I think Savion Williams would be a GB archetye WR so something to think about

He has the YAC ability this team desperately needs but a Senior WR that has never had more than 615 yards in a season might be a tough sell as a high 2nd round pick.

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

In no scenario whatsoever is QB plan B. If they like a QB they are going to take one. If you are willing take one at #3-5 after trading down, you are willing to take one at #1.

they could absolutely be willing to draft one of the QBs with the first pic but at the same time being open to moving off the pic if they get what they are looking for in a trade

how is that so hard to understand

because it makes no sense. If you like a QB enough to take them #1 you don't risk not getting him to trade back a few slots.

I was told privately that it was someone who is no longer with the team that said they would take Shedeur if they *had* to choose a QB. That means it was either Carthon or Anthony Robinson that said that at the time.

Couple that with all the national chatter that "the Titans" 'love' Cam Ward, with Callahan's comments on his year end OTP about drafting a QB, and with the mounting evidence that Carthon was a Levis stan, and you can see a bit of a picture unfolding about where this seems to be going.

I can tell you right now - if the Titans don't take Ward at number 1, the Browns will take him at 2.

And if by pure magic the Titans and Browns pass on Ward (will not happen), the Giants will take him at 3.

and if the Giants don't take him at 3, someone else will take him at 4, unless they don't then he will definitely/maybe go at 5, unless he doesn't , then he might go at 6

only the Sith deal in absolutes

your not risking not getting him...your selling him to another team and getting an extra first round pic in next years draft

if you cant get 2 first round pics in next years draft that changes how you view your situation and maybe you need to take a swing this year.

I'd bring up this logical test again - in the event someone trades up to number 1 for a QB, do we trust the Titans front office to be right and the other team to be wrong about the evaluation on said QB? Like do we really think our FO is likely to out-smart the other teams on the QB position in this scenario?

ha

no

I just hope the team that gives us their #1 next year goes 0-17 and so do we so we end up with #1 and #2

keep repeating the process till we own the first 10 pics in the draft and then draft 10 QBs

and we may get lucky
