If you're an average athlete with an average arm, you're likely an average QB in today's NFL. Drew Brees got away with being average physically because he was super elite at everything else. Odds are Sanders isn't going to be that most likely. Look at just about all of the top QB and they're pretty tooled up. I'm not totally sold on Ward either, but I'd lean him over Sanders. At least he's more toolsy and has more traits that the top QB possess. Mythos27
Starkiller
Sanders isn’t remotely an “average athlete”. He just isn’t his dad. Thrill

I don't think it's possible to be in the situation the Titans are in and not take a QB. I sure would like a trade down though Getting an early jump on playing all sides ic…. smooth move OG

I think he's very much an average athlete for a modern QB. He doesn't have huge runs where he jokes a lot of people. He has decent quickness and very good footwork but he does a lot with less. He's certainly not big and I haven't seen much tackle shedding. When he has to throw off platform - falling back or drifting sideways - the throws lack velocity badly. He can make most all of the throws but he has to gather himself to the deeper throws. Mythos27

I see the hero ball thing people talk about with that bad throw back across the field that got picked, and people worry that he's just Levis 2 0. But to say that is to ignore all the other things that make him not Levis. Like his ability to throw with much better anticipation and his sense of what the pocket is doing around him. Levis was a pocket retard. Ward doesn't look anything like that. It's a way too early take, but my 2 cents is that Ward will be a Titan in April. Just seems obvious.
