Its going to be interesting for sure. Would they flip Tannehill to a QB needy team to help accelerate retooling the roster and look for a Hurts style QB or will they keep Tannehill and rebuild around him?

His comments about "who would Malik throw to" make me nervous if it's the former, if he views Willis as that Hurts style QB.

Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

Regarding the "product", there is no way that AAS watched this team week in and week out and felt happy about what was being put out there.  That's probably not as big as some of the reasons Quiver Chins got canned but it has to be one of them.

I think it matters the most. If the sentiment was strong around the team being a true contender there is no way this happens. She said as much in her statement.

See... it's shit like this that makes me believe that you're not....... ..........really... ....Bongo.  You're all for Vrabel becoming Fisher 2.0 but the real Bongo hates Fisher.

You are an imposter.

Yep

The issue is that Tannehill needs a good pass-blocking OL to be successful in this scheme. He's not a guy that's going to consistently extend the play, he's not a spread the WRs out and toss it everywhere type, and I've never gotten the vibe that he's allowed a ton of freedom to call audibles at the LOS and act as a OC impersonating a QB (like a Brees, Manning, Brady, etc.). He's very accurate and has a big arm, and can thread the needle if given time.

But with his contract, there's almost no way you can build the OL he needs to be successful without gutting other areas (and we can't afford to do that). So this likely a multi-year process of rebuilding the OL.

So what to do? I could see Vrabel unloading his contract to and getting some draft capital too, going with a Hurts-style QB, and using that money to re-tool the roster.
