  2. There a billion dollar settlement for lying to their viewers away from you being on board!
  3. Like Jeffery Simmons does every week this season? That's a bad argument And the point is they gave up a starting CB for nothing and need his position replaced
  4. As soon as Trump was sworn in for a second term, one of MAGA ‘s first orders of business was to attack the 22nd Amendment and either strike down or circumvent Presidential term limits. Mind you, they’re not fighting to eliminate term limits for all Presidents; they want a special and unique exemption that would apply only to Donald Trump alone. #NotACult, amiright? At the risk of quoting myself…from Jan 24, four days after Trump’s inauguration:

  6. Drake Maye is the best QB in the league right now. VRABEL EFFECT!
  7. The Dodgers train in Glendale, AZ these days.
  8. Teams intentionally walked him a TON during his peak seasons. His last peak year, his On Base Percentage was .609 and he Walked 232 times out of 617 Plate Appearances. .362 Batting Average with that much power and intentional walks is just mind boggling. The entire league was afraid of that man.
  9. This could have been said about NE last year. They make a few solid additions, replace their retarded coach with a competent one, and are watching their young QB and team thrive.
  10. Personally, I suck at learning languages and I'm pretty handicap when it comes to even English grammar. Realized this while taking Spanish and, to a larger extent, Greek class haha. The international students had a much better grasp of English grammar than the natives did ironically enough. But I do enjoy learning about the origins of certain words to help me remember things more easily. Or to just learn interesting things however trivial they may be. In regards to the podcast, I just saw the beginning clip but I do remember learning the F word is an acronym for "For Uncommon Carnal Knowledge." Something else I learned in college me thinks. Let's see if my memory serves me correctly. Just asked Grok, "Where does the word, FUCK, come from?" Grok: The origin of the word "fuck" is murky, but it likely emerged in the late 15th or early 16th century in English. Its earliest known use appears in a 1475 poem, Flen flyys, in a coded form ("fuccant") referring to monks' sexual behavior. The word probably derives from Germanic roots, related to terms like Middle Dutch fokken (to thrust or copulate) or Old Norse fukka (to drive or push). These roots suggest a connection to physical or sexual action.Despite myths, it doesn’t come from acronyms like "Fornication Under Consent of the King" or similar folk etymologies—these are modern inventions. The word’s taboo status grew over time, leading to its rarity in early written records, but it was likely common in spoken language. By the 16th century, it was used in English to mean sexual intercourse, often with a vulgar or aggressive connotation, as it does today. Swing and a miss... FOOOK!!!
  11. He also had a great TD throw to Helm which was dropped. The TO was just him forcing it on 4th and goal from the 20. If Helm catches it, those two are interchanged and things look much better on paper. I find it hard to use the underhanded "for a rookie" disclaimer. The run game is atrocious and the coaching staff isn't able to design any sort of plays where the receivers can get some YAC for him. He's been tasked with carrying the offense with a bunch of 4th round rookies down the field for a coaching staff which has been playing musical chairs all season. You're going to have to put a QB in a much better situation than this before coming to any sort of fair evaluation.
  12. You work near Vero Beach? Nice... Visited Florida for the first time last year. Kind of surreal to see signs warning of alligators.
  13. I'm a weirdo in that I actually believe the Ohtani story. You have to realize Japan is a super high trust society. People are naive and not cynical enough to think their friends/colleagues could steal from them. If Ohtani was the raging gambler then he's never taking a deferred contract. I also work at a casino less than two miles away from the Dodgers spring training facility. Nobody has ever seen Ohtani here.
  14. Coaching matters, the difference between callahan and whoever they were going to temporarily replace him with(McCoy) wasn't .
  15. Idk, deom the broadcast angle it looks like he didnt want to get flagged so he pulls back and tries to deflect the pass instead. Like you said though, the other angle he looks like he couldn't decide what he was going to do so he kind switched back and forth a bit and never finished the motion to do either. The only other thing it could be is that its a clip of the jets owner playing madden and a player glitched out. He loves him some madden.
  16. I really dont know if I would even bother ranking his games. They are all some good here some bad there. Im just happy to see he is starting to build chemistry with dike and helm
  17. Same reason they wont play the 2nd(3rd?) coming of our lord and savior at wr.
  18. I still can't believe how cowardly both Callahan and now McCoy have been with some of their 4th down decisions over the first 8 weeks of the season, seriously what the hell are they fearful of this team absolutely sucks and getting blown out most weeks anyway there is literally nothing more to lose. Coaching not to lose rather than coaching trying to win is right up with the worst traits a HC or interim HC can have.
  19. A few months back I was listening to this podcast that talks about the english language and im pretty sure they brought this up. Something like it comes from the roman word sclavus but that words connection to slavus was in question for some reason or another I can't remember. Either way. It is a pretty interesting and funny podcast if the history of language is something you are into. https://youtube.com/@wordsunravelled?si=Lmp9P1KcIdzkZn-g For people who really dont care I would still recommend the episode on curse words.
  20. So was this Cam's best game so far? it feels like for this game there is less to add when finishing the statement "he did okay, for a rookie, except for...". Nearly his highest yardage total, only 1 turnover, no fumbles!! not a crazy amount of sacks. Probably should have had that big TD play to Ayomanor.
  21. I'm not going to be angry with a coach for losing to the Chiefs with the best iteration of Mahomes.
  22. I also apologize for initially thinking we drafted the first lesbian in the history of the NFL. Looks like he's going to be a stud WR (by our standards at least).
  23. He's still alive! Experienced! Probably can't remember his own name
  24. Just watching some highlights, and came across this - what the fuck is #27 on the Bengals here doing? 4:10 if the link doesn't load right. Better seen from the behind angle it shows after the TV angle. It's almost like he didn't want to get a sack. https://youtu.be/HT4U6-XmEOw?si=vYHR_jgVYkALIgz7&t=250
  25. So we traded away the one dude who plays like he gives a shit on defense...
  26. I learned it somewhere. I'm pretty sure in college LOL Just asked grok, does the word, slave, come from the slavic people? Yes, the word "slave" is etymologically linked to the Slavic people. It derives from the Medieval Latin sclavus, which originally referred to enslaved Slavic people in the early Middle Ages. During this period, many Slavs were captured and sold into servitude by various groups, including Germanic and Romance-speaking peoples, particularly in the context of the Holy Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire. The term sclavus evolved from the earlier Latin Slavus, meaning a Slavic person, and came to denote "slave" in general due to the prevalence of enslaved Slavs.By the 9th–10th centuries, the association of the term with servitude became widespread in Western Europe, and it eventually generalized to mean any enslaved person, regardless of ethnicity. This etymological connection is preserved in many European languages, such as Old French esclave and English slave.
