Now ask yourself why? because he wants to get through it without injuries so they are as close to full strength as possible for the jets in a few weeks. He obviously has more size than Spears & is a 100x more natural a runner. And he's downright bad as a runner - like you said, he can be effective, but only when he's given such a vast amount of space to run that anyone would be successful. The likelihood that we could find someone better in FA - or even on this own roster - seems very high. The coaches have been stubborn about the RB utilization for as long as I can remember. Chestnut has been on the active roster for years and has played well in very limited time, but they absolutely refuse to even try to see what he looks like with a decent sample size of snaps.
