Thrill Posted June 29 Report Share Posted June 29 Man poor guy. I always wonder what would’ve happened if he had not played through that meniscus tear the year after he had 2000 yards. If that had happened now he would’ve shut it down for the season and repaired the meniscus. Back then I think guys just shaved off the torn parts and played with less padding. There actually has been a study led by Boston University that revealed that professional football players are 4 times more likely than the general male population to get ALS, and players who do get it tend to play 50 percent longer than players who don't.
