What happens though when you have tourettes AND your muscles atrophy due to non-use? Like does he just involuntarily jiggle like a blob? I lost a dear mother-in-law to ALS and have a friend who has just recently been diagnosed. Like you really are the devil's court jester. True story..... I was around 5 or 6 when my grandmother died, on my dad's side. My cousins, around my same age and me went to the funeral. My uncle(dad's brother) was sobbing loudly and weirdly. At the time I had never seen a grown man cry and especially so loudly and strangely. I began to laugh and couldn't stop. After the funeral my cousin told my aunt I was "laughing during granny's funeral". nine Posted June 28 Report Share Posted June 28 A fellow musician buddy of mine died of ALS back in the 90s. He slowly but steadily declined and withered away over the course of 2-3 years. By the end he was fully paralyzed….for the last few months of his life, he couldn’t speak, move, or breathe on his own. Just an absolutely horrible way to go. The last time I saw him was a couple months before he died. At that point he was fully paralyzed and couldn’t speak….but when anyone spoke to him, he’d get a fire in his eyes and you could see he was still fully there, fully aware of his surroundings, and that he could hear and understand what people were saying to him; he just couldn’t move or respond….and it really pissed him off. I think most of us remember during games CJ sometimes used to have these non involuntary jerky twitchy movements. Really hope the rumors aren't true about ALS.
