japan
I guess the national news (non-sports) has finally grabbed ahold of this story. Edited Wednesday at 02:19 PM by japan headhunter
headhunter
I honestly wonder if Vrabel will get suspended because it's not just an affair, it's with a reporter that obviously wrote things in favor of Vrabel. Info for sexual favors, that to me is a huge deal. Edited Wednesday at 02:17 PM by headhunter rns90, Callidus, and SleepingTitan

The morning shows (Today, Good Morning America) are covering this now and bringing up how she was the one to lose her job and not the man. This will spiral for him... headhunter, and titanruss

scine09
I still think nothing will happen to Vrabel over this. Edited Wednesday at 10:39 PM by scine09 OILERMAN
cenj
I do feel bad for both families. These are two shitty people who have brought embarrassment and distrust to their families. I know nothing about their marriages or if there is some sort of agreement, but it certainly feels like a spouse probably hired a PI. The kids definitely don't deserve what's happening. rns90, prometheus, Justafan, and 1 other
Popular Post cenj
They are both adults and neither is a victim. Both used their relationship for professional perks. Russini comes across as worse initially because she has track record of this exact thing (where it's Vrabel's first major black mark publicly). She's dogged her husband and comes across as having few personal or professional morals. Women are even more angry at her than men because she's catapulted her career by exchanging sexual favors, instead of being actually good at her job. However, Titans fans know that Vrabel is full of shit and a total asshole. He's used Russini and media connections to control the narratives, ones we all know are BS. When Vrabel was with TN, the scrutiny was much lower and he could be a bully, or take his ball and go home. That's not going to work in NE. The Pats won't do anything to him, and the NFL doesn't want to voluntarily uncover any scandal that hurts the brand. But...before this, it made no sense to criticize Vrabel if you were in the media. But now, Vrabel puff pieces are going to draw criticism for perceived bias or moral judgement, so I do think the media coverage will change dramatically. And I think as things unfold, there will be more to come out against Vrabel. When he pouts and acts like a coward, the media won't give him a pass. They will poke him and try and anger him for something click-worthy. Vrabel cannot stand criticism or questioning and I don't think it's gonna go well for him. Grizz
Here's the other thing. Pats had a cake schedule last season. The Seahawks showed a recipe for figuring out Drake Maye. Winning is a big factor in how the court of public opinion rules. The division is easy, but what is Miami and the Jets games are back loaded? A slow start for old Vrabes could make all of this a lot more interesting. This story will come up and come up often for a guy who is a classic no distractions guy. Could be a long season for the Pats.

We just liked him when he was our asshole and now we hate him because he's someone else's asshole. Small caveat here. We liked him for a little bit in spite of his being a meathead/asshole. Then we tolerated him. Then we were happy to see him and his predictable, can't-hire-coordinators-for-shit, conniving "just wanted fo feel like a winner" ass go. Callahan was a horrible replacement for him, but he and Carthon were necessary stepping stones away from the JRob/Vrabel era. I'm perfectly fine with the Callahan/Carthon train wreck if it means we've finally got the people in charge that can get us to the promised land. I really want to agree with you here, but damn the Titans have played a LOT of horrible, embarrassingly bad football over these past +2 years. At this point Cam has got to be the guy, or it’s just too hard to watch for 3 hours every week. japan, Justafan, and IsntLifeFunny 2

Callahan and Carthon were exactly the opposite of necessary. They could absolutely have hired competent people the first time and the instability resulting from having to pivot again presents problems. The hope is simply that they have good answers in those roles now and can grow from here but pretending they had to fuck up horribly on both hires is plainly nonsensical.
