No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

Someone is trading up to 3 for an edge. I think it will be Dallas giving up picks 12 and 20 for either Reese or Bailey.

It's clear that Bain is DE3 in this class

I think Brinker & Borgonzi are trying to get teams to think they are all in on Love so nobody jumps them at 4 for one of the top 2 edge, and if that happens they will either look to trade back, or stick and pick Love or Bain

I really hate the idea of getting a RB that high, especially when we had a top tier RB in Derrick Henry and let him go for nothing. Yet Tony Pollard showed you that the basic stats of total yards and ypc are not the same as impact. Pollard was not an impactful player this season, the 4.5 ypc is nice but 5 touchdowns and only 48 first down runs and only 5 third down runs converting to first down is unacceptable, and a young QB benefits from a game changer at RB. Even veterans like Tannehill and Daniel Jones do.

The dvoa guy isn't sold on taking Love early

Love is a very good running back prospect, but BackCAST suggests that he's not generational. Although he is far ahead of the rest of this year's class, Love isn't even among the top-25 running back prospects since 1998 by BackCAST score. (Even the similar prospects listed above, Etienne and Gurley, had higher scores when they entered the draft.)

My brain interpreted it as backscat, some twist on scat back.

Eventually, analytics will include favorite ice cream flavors and what exact time/date a guy's last ejaculation was to figure out whether or not the flag will fit more discreetly on his left side or his right.

People keep on mentioning this but do you think they will give up 12+20 to move up to 3?

At this point in the run, 12+20 sounds good for the Titans.  I know one guy I want.  Plus Borgonzi impressed me with 2025 draft.  Except, Femi?!  I think Femi won them over with his personality.

With so many players on the list of bpa @4, there could be value in trading back.  Borgonzi is a negotiator.  I think he aced the hiring process.  Free agents/Trades get a plus.  They still can't fix everything.  The more high picks they get the better.

The problem is finding someone who wants to trade up to 4 enough to make it worthwhile

I don’t see the Titans taking Love. We took a HOF RB in the second round (Henry). They’re going defense.

Realization is if Bailey is gone there might not be a Defender worth taking at 4 that they feel they absolutely need to have.

They could conceivably have it as Bailey or Love w/ Reese, Tate, or Styles as the the back up 3rd option if something crazy happens in front of them that leaves neither of them there or they can’t trade back.
