No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

I wouldn't mind drafting love if we trade back for a haul and also trade Tony.

... but yeah, I'd much rather just sign Breece Hall or do nothing at all at RB and beef up the TE/OL/WR instead

Chad Forbes has a plan. He does make a good point about Saleh. He does not require top notch talent to field a good defense.

Was going to mention this in my Off-Season primer posts. The further I look into both of the Free Agent and Draft Classes at EDGE and WR, the more I start to lean they should go WR at 4 IF they have Tate/Lemon/Tyson graded at a similar level as they do Bailey/Bain/Reese.

The WR market is truly going to be bereft of any TRUE upgrades unless you make a trade for DJ Moore or see Michael Pittman Jr. released by Indy. Overpaying for a Robinson or Doubs or Jennings. I would rather bet on the development of Dike/Ayomanor + mid tier FA (think Tyquan Thorton/Jalen Tolbert + Top Draft Pick).

The group of EDGE free agents + the depth of the class with starting caliber EDGEs available in the 2nd Round, leads me to think if they do not LOVE Bailey/Bain/Reese (and if the one they love is still even available), they could look to WR. I don't love it and I hate getting to the "pick the offensive player" when we need a game breaker at EDGE, but available players will shift a lot of this discussion.

I do like a good bit of what he did though, minus Calvin Austin and Brian Robinson.

Taylor, Kolar, Ebiketie, Mafe, Enagbare, Williams, and Belton are all players I have my eye on one way or another.

I think they need an outside WR.  Whether that’s Pittman, Doubs, etc.  .  The Jags best wr down the stretch was a slot WR that they found with a late pick /cheaply.

I just hate paying big money to a strictly slot WR.

Hey, ReStepSlo will cost peanuts. Think about it.

And the big receiver on the outside I hope that they target (for now) is Fields in the 3rd, assuming he drops there. He's the perfect size and his highlights look promising.

My disclaimer is I say that pre-combine, pre-free agency, and pre-pro day. A lot of time to figure out who these guys are before the draft.

It makes no sense to keep Ridley AND sign Wandale Robinson. That just means fewer snaps for Dike.

I really think Dike is gonna break out in a big way, Derrick Mason-esque. Mason was a 4th round pick too and he was also a dangerous return man.

I don't know how they feel about Ayomanor, but if they're confident in both those guys they may not have to add as much to the room as people think.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in whatever room Daboll is working in, analyzing different players.

That's why I posted to watch Tate's 40 time.

Definitely pay attention to what they say at the combine. If they start talking a lot about the importance of building around the QB, it could be a tell of what the plan is. This is a copycat league so wouldn't surprise me if Borg looks at what NE and CHI did to help Maye and Williams in year 2 and tries to do the same with Ward.

Of the 3 WR, Lemon actually feels the most like Diggs to me. But do you draft a sub 6'0" WR who likely doesn't have 4.3 speed? I have my doubts.

I still need to see more than highlights from fields. The highlight catches are awesome but that 50/50 contested catch rate for a guy whos whole hughlight tape is jump balls is concerning.

Loooool.  So the Titans are going to give up more to bring him back than the compensation they received to trade him to PHI.  He’s also 4 years older.

This team has the stupidest fans on social media.

Depends on how you look at it

A first this year is viewed as more than a first next year. It is supposed to be the god of all draft classes though.

Edit: not defending that @SleepingTitan type trade scenario, just saying.
