I think we're going to turn over every stone possible (Pierce, Shaheed, Robinson, Doubs, Jennings, DJ Moore, Pitts, other trade options) to try to help Ward. Slightly different but they really should come out of a FA with a TE given how much talent is expected to be out there at that spot with all the guys like Kmet, Njoku, Knox and maybe Hockenson all cap cuts along with others. Ballard's strategy this offseason is going to be an interesting watch his starting QB, starting RT, one of his starting S, one of his starting EDGE and also his most productive WR are all FA. That is a lot of holes to fill. Common sense suggests that they will move on from Pittman to keep Pierce but if they don't tag him they are relying on Pierce and his agent not testing FA because if he does the Colts won't be able to compete with the money that will be on offer.
