Jeff seemed unhappy and there were reports that Robinson had told him he didn't know where the money to pay him was going to come from. J-Rob really fucked things up towards the end. Its way easier to get a team off the floor and into playoff contention when you have draft capital and money to spend. Its much much harder to extend that run for 3-5 years once you are there. This is where I think it'll be interesting when judging Borgonzi in 2-3 years. Sure, he was given the #1 pick and a top 2nd round pick. Previous GM didn't leave much draft capital, and the cap space, while not an issue, was depleted by a spending spree last offseason that didn't pan out. I think Cam will at least be a solid starter, but if he doesn't hit will be interesting if there's much grace and if Borgonzi/Brinker get much breathing room while trying to right the ship. Even if he does hit, that also becomes a good-to-have challenge in a couple of years. I don't envy what Borgonzi inherited as a new GM. oldschool

Starkiller
2 hours ago, OILERMAN said: Reese and Robinson actually got off to good starts but faltered badly I think Reese did a good job most of the way through, but they got into cap hell because Bud wanted to win now while he was on the right side of the dirt. Then Bud forced him to draft VY and sided with Fisher over Reese.

How I've missed this little conversations. Leave it you focus on the wrong thing and infer something no one said. Let me spell it out for you again ITS EASIER TO TAKE A TEAM FROM ROCK BOTTOM TO CONTENDER THAN IT IS TO MAINTAIN A CONTENDER japan

We can watch all his surrounding pieces go elsewhere and flourish after being on downward trends with him at QB here. ... but still people think AJ brown or Henry were the problems and the pieces that needed replacing. More than half of y'all that laugh at quiver chins for his idiocy would have gone down to same path of trading away massive talent in order to keep a mid QB who was already obviously headed downhill fast.   I still have to wonder if Tanne fucked your mother with you saying everyone we let go of flourished away from him. AJ and Jonnu were the only two. Humphries out the league, CD out the league, Firkser out the league pretty much every receiver we had on that 2021 roster is no longer playing/retired. JustDave45
Why the hell they waive him ? Why not keep him in IR all year, then let him go as a free agent in order to get the compensatory pick ?? titanruss, and SleepingTitan
heyitsmeallen
He probably wouldn’t get hurt as much if he didn’t play the position like a baby deer learning to walk for the first time. I’ve seriously never seen a 1st round wr who looks as clumsy as he does playing the position. Thrill, SleepingTitan, and TheBisco 2
