Give Borgonzi another couple of years and he will be recognized as the best GM in Titans history.  Unfortunately, it's not a high bar.

Reese and Robinson actually got off to good starts but faltered badly

This was 100% the best case scenario for the Titans. The injury was inevitable. It's best to get it out of the way early in camp so he doesn't continue to take reps away from the younger guys who actu

I want you to go count out 14 weeks on a calendar lol

They weren't letting Simmons go, that's stupid

They weren't, but I remember the chatter ariund here being that there was concerned Robinson might have gone that direction and it was one of the reasons he was fired.

they let aj brown go and made the same promise in the same way to retain simmons.

simmons also was showing some discontent and "underperforming".. it's entirely a possibility. i think you even thought it was a worry at the time with JRob

@BudsOilers bring this up all the time... Its way easier to get a team off the floor and into playoff contention when you have draft capital and money to spend. Its much much harder to extend that run for 3-5 years once you are there.

This is where I think it'll be interesting when judging Borgonzi in 2-3 years.

Sure, he was given the #1 pick and a top 2nd round pick. Previous GM didn't leave much draft capital, and the cap space, while not an issue, was depleted by a spending spree last offseason that didn't pan out.

I think Cam will at least be a solid starter, but if he doesn't hit will be interesting if there's much grace and if Borgonzi/Brinker get much breathing room while trying to right the ship. Even if he does hit, that also becomes a good-to-have challenge in a couple of years.

I don't envy what Borgonzi inherited as a new GM

Of course but tell that to the Giants/Jets/Browns/Jags GM's...

I think Reese did a good job most of the way through, but they got into cap hell because Bud wanted to win now while he was on the right side of the dirt. Then Bud forced him to draft VY and sided with Fisher over Reese.

didn't say it was a lock, lol.

And usually when a GM is taking over it's because the team sucks and they have high draft picks...

How I've missed this little conversations. Leave it you focus on the wrong thing and infer something no one said. Let me spell it out for you again

ITS EASIER TO TAKE A TEAM FROM ROCK BOTTOM TO CONTENDER THAN IT IS TO MAINTAIN A CONTENDER

biases are a wild thing.

we have all the evidence in the world that tannehill fell off a cliff... stats, wins, chokes,.

We can watch all his surrounding pieces go elsewhere and flourish after being on downward trends with him at QB here.

... but still people think AJ brown or Henry were the problems and the pieces that needed replacing.

More than half of y'all that laugh at quiver chins for his idiocy would have gone down to same path of trading away massive talent in order to keep a mid QB who was already obviously headed downhill fast.  &nbsp

I still have to wonder if Tanne fucked your mother with you saying everyone we let go of flourished away from him. AJ and Jonnu were the only two. Humphries out the league, CD out the league, Firkser out the league pretty much every receiver we had on that 2021 roster is no longer playing/retired.
