@CallidusYou know what, I apologize.  I am talking about football to people who don’t fully understand manhood, never been in a locker room, never even played poker and smoked a cigar with men.  It is impossible for you to understand the intricacies of the sport.  You need articles from people that you trust.  I am sorry…seriously.  Good night.

Men?

As someone who has played 1000s of hours of live poker, LMFAO. You’d be the fish 100p.

I don't think any of those experiences are a prerequisite to watching football.

I just don't think it can be said definitively that the changes were to their benefit inherently. Like, I don't think that the experience of turbulence did them any favors. The changes did result in better landing spots so in that way they benefitted but that feels more indirect than direct. You can definitely say that it speaks to their personal resilience though which is a key trait of successful QBs.

Goff going from Jeff Fisher to McVay absolutely benefited him. His pressure to sack ratio as a rookie was quite poor, but it immediately improved upon McVay's arrival and he never looked back.  That goes beyond his passing numbers, which can always be attributed to improved supporting cast.  But pressure/sack is almost entirely on the QB, and it's extremely rare for those who struggle with that early in their career to become successful, let alone improve in this area.

Buddy, they traded Goff straight up for another QB. Even they didn't see him as a success story so why are you dying on that hill?
