I just don't think he's untouchable like you seem to think.  Even with the horrible roster last year, the guy did not impress on the sidelines.  Don't forget that our owner not exactly rational and the 2027 season squarely on her mind...

Here's something for you to properly set your expectations:

 

On the Bill Simmons Podcast, Dianna Russini is asked if any team could be considered worse than Cleveland.  Her answer is the Titans.  She says all of the turnover at GM and HC is the reason for her answer.  Bill did not really comment on it.

Later, when asked about a team that will surprise people, she mentioned her hometown Jets!  The team with a new HC, GM, and just wasted two years with Aaron Rodgers.  

 

Two takeaways:  1) Russini really liked Vrabel (her and Bill waxed poetic about him for a while) and is showing a negative bias to the team that ousted her boo; and 2) Russini follows the NY team closer and gets the usual rose-colored bias from offseason BS.

I don't think there is any concern with Callahan being the HC now

but if we are still a shit show around the halfway point of the season that will change.

Well, just look at the depth chart. It’s objectively a 3 win lineup with a rookie QB. We are relying on garbage at too many positions. Arden Key as rusher #1 is beyond pitiful. Van Jefferson in a starting position is beyond pitiful.  The LB crew is pathetic . The depth is atrocious. One decent WR. Of position groups,  Only the RB’s, guards, DT and safeties are competitive caliber players. It’s going to be ugly again. Real ugly.

The change at GM is a major plus. Yes, her bias is showing.

Otherwise, only surprise to me is that Gray is backing up Williams. Seems like Reese & Williams have similar makeups; likewise for Barton & Gray. Not sure it really matters, though. 

 

Also, the CB spot is brutal if Sneed doesn't snap out of it, which we already knew. Seeing it on the depth chart, though...damn

They also have Levin starting over Cushenberry so there's no doubt this depth chart will change before opening day.

They lost half of those games during that stretch by 5 points or less.  Last year's team had a -9 average point differential overall, which puts them in company with the dumpster fire teams in the league.  

 

Losing to 6 playoff teams at the end of 22 with Dennis Daley, Burks, and Willis/Dobbs playing significant snaps is understandable.  Losing 2x to the 4 win Jaguars with a backup QB or getting blown out by average teams like Indy and Cincinnati at the end of 24 is pathetic.  Do you honestly not see the difference between last year's team and that of the prior 2 years?  Talent is the biggest hindrance to them winning a SB, but the coaches should still be able to put something resembling a competitive team in the field.

Things that I thought were interesting were Oliver moving up to 2nd string WR behind Ridley, Helm being #2 TE, Allen over Boyle at backup and Proche being way down the depth chart at WR. Other than that, pretty much what I expected.
