It's really hard to fathom the level of retardation that is required to vote someone in based on reacting to high (but falling) inflation, and then supporting this idiot as he goes about implementing

It isn't difficult; they are just that stupid...

Also, can we just laugh at the absurdity of Trump claiming to be some master deal-maker and then revealing that the primary tool in his tool-kit is threatening his allies with economic violence? Are w

This is by design. Trump is paving the way for Russia to prosper and the US to lose its standing, allies, and power. He is clearly a Russian agent.

Is this some kind of traitorous attack on the US economy by Trump or just his unwavering stupidity? It's honestly hard to know.

"How can you say this man is stupid? He's RICH! He's very successful in politics! He has to be smart for that to be the case!"

Hahaha fucking retards that live in this world who think that everyone who is rich and a "success" is smart and achieved this based on merit.

Trump is charismatic (in a stupid way) and funny (also, due to being so brash, bizarre & famous) and incredibly dim, incurious, & unknowledgeable.

You watch, in 10 years even many of his biggest cultist will admit this just like all the people sucking Bush's dick for years, who claimed "WMD's where there but secretly shipped into Syria" didn't relent for over a decade until the current tard gave them permission to.

Wait... wtf is Trump doing in the White House?  Just 2 years ago I read on here that the Republican party was in shambles and would have no chance to win in '24!  Posters here were laughing at the poor Repub saps and that Biden was 'guaranteed' to win the '24 election!  LOL!

WTF happened?  Did I dream all that shit?  I think I must have, because since then we've been in the fucking Twilight Zone and Donny is now in the Oval Office!

Lawd be, miss Daisy!  There something burning and it's the damn country!

Is there any chance the 25th amendment can be invoked?  One can hope….

No. He filled his cabinet with enough sycophants who are loyal enough to die for him. They would never stab him in the back.

As a share of the economy, the executive order is likely the largest peacetime tax increase in U.S. history. In nominal terms, it’s the largest tax increase, period. And it comes without any input from Congress.

TDS has spread to the conservative National Review editorial board.

The article is worth a read.  It explains how the tariffs were calculated.  And it wasn't based on what other countries are charging us.

Despite these efforts to dress up the new tariff schedule in the language of economics, one thing is certain. The White House’s “reciprocity” calculation has no basis in mainstream economic analysis. Instead, it seems to have been improvised on the fly as a rationalization for Trump’s pre-existing intention of levying heavy tariffs on almost all of our trading partners.

There are a host of legal issues that arise from this approach, both on the international level. For example, the US appears to be violating almost every trade agreement they have signed, including those negotiated by Trump during his first term.

I wonder if right now the US called a special referendum - we all vote today:

1) Mitt Romney becomes President remainder of term

2) Trump remains President

How would that turn out?    Only inserting Romney because he was the last Repub candidate before Trump, and is still more or less alive. being I think 1 and 5 years junior of Trump and Biden respectively.

Interesting concept to me in that it wouldn't be a primary, nor would it be a Dem vs Rep final.  Wouldn't be a campaign.  Just a single referendum voted today.  Let's also pretend 100% voting of all 18+.

How would it pan out among Dems, Independents, Reps?    Interesting exercise that I think defines a lot of American politics and how we got to be here today.  And I'm thinking as much or more about Dem/Ind than Rep and Trump specifically.

He would 100% lose because all the morons on the left who couldn't vote for a black women or a genocide joe's right hand, have buyer's remorse. it would be enough even without the obvious swing voters that would flip. We deserve every bit of this.
