The fact is that no team, including Titans and Giants, is considering Ward as a generational talent.

He never said that anyone was generational talent in this draft, only that they wouldn't pass up on it. Nice try.

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

If I knew what point you were trying to make other than the fact that you don't like Ward I'd stop.  But I still have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say other than that.

He's saying that Ward isn't worth the #1 pick and that if they take him at 1, it's because they had to draft a QB and couldn't get the draft capital to move out.

I'm saying, they have a value on him, and if they don't get the capital to match that value, they will take him because he's the highest value they see in the draft.

I expect as @AussieTitanFan08 has mentioned, Borgonzi will draft BPA (matching the value of the position with their draft grade). He will only select for need if the grade matches the other players available AND need is higher for the position.

QB is pretty fucking high, but if Ward doesn't grade out as high as the other players, I don't think they'll pass up on the other player just because Ward is a QB. A lot of these scouts and office people will be pounding the table for him, and some will be naysayers. The plan based on their FA acq appears to be draft a QB at 1.

Then maybe stop speaking in absolutes? Maybe allow for the possibility that you might just be wrong?

How am I speaking in absolutes?

I've said I could be wrong but I doubt it. You guys infer way too much.

If I'm speaking in absolutes then pretty much everyone here is by that standard.

When you guys say "Ward is a franchise QB" that isn't an absolute but when I respond "no, he isn't " it is.

If you say "he's worth the first pick" it isn't  but  when I say "he isn't " it is.

When I state my opinion that drafting him is just drafting a qb because you don’t have one it's an absolute to you. Unfuckingbelievable.

what the heck is EPA on lost turnovers?

how does someone turnover the ball and increase their EPA?

That means how "bad" the turnover is.

I'm guessing the scale starts at an INT on a HailMary with the game already decided, and ends at the Levis INT against the Bears.

If I could see a video of Ward being quizzed on protections and analysis of a play AND hear a legitimate breakdown of his responsibilities at the LOS, then I could give an honest opinion. I'll never get that access. We fans only see that stuff after a player becomes great. The word gets out years later about his evaluation and what present impressions were.

Sometimes I watch his games and am in awe of his touch, timing, and grit. Sometimes, I'm like W T F are you doing? I also don't know if any of these plays are based on luck or if some of his bone headed stuff was caused by other players doing dumb shit. I hear he has an amazing work ethic and is competitive af.

The PopTart Bowl stuff is a positive for me, not a negative. He did everything he could for that team except play the last half of a meaningless game. He put up an entire game of production in 2 quarters and the defense (per usual) shit the bed.

I'd rather they take him and see if some magic can become of it rather than slowly build this team up hoping to land a QB later or develop one that doesn't have the grade to be selected in the 1st or 2nd.

What they've done with the QB says how they value Ward. There's simply no other player worth the first pick. Unless a team blows them away, say the Giants with 2 firsts and their second, then Ward is a Titan. Even with that offer we are unsure if they would bite, though I think personally they would.

Simms says Ward is the clear #1 and would be #3 last year in the same tier as Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels

He's correct. He isn't as good as Daniels as a prospect, but he's better than the rest, including Williams. I'm okay with saying that after watching more and going back a bit through Williams senior year where he was an emotional wreck and played almost completely out of the system.
