Ran is building a winner.  Hated the pick, but Dak, Purdy, and Hurts are B-level QBs.  They look good because they have 5.5 seconds to throw the ball.  These teams have been consistently in the playoffs because they have dominant OL’s.   Sewell and Johnson were both drafted extremely high for RT’s but they have made tons of money because RT is important (and they are consistently in the playoffs).  The game has changed from my era.  If we are trusting analytics, we have to trust analytics.  Analytics look like this sometimes.  I trust Carthon and Brinker.

It's bad. I have no idea what they're thinking. His tape isn't good at RT in pass protection. He's sloppy and unbalanced.

I'd feel slightly better about Lathom if we did. Then I'd get mad at picking a RT at 7 again.

Same. Then you've got good WRs, good receiving RBs, a potentially strong line. 

 

Then either someone stands out for the slot or we get another WR in the mid rounds. Finish the defense next year.

Don’t force it, like Robinson.  Draft the best prospect on your Board, regardless.  Follow the analytics!!!   Vontae Mack No Matter What means to trust your hard work.  Latham is Mack.  I hate it but love it at the same time.  Carthon got his shot and is not following marketing plans.  He is building an actual winner.

Latham will struggle, as all rookie OL do, especially if he's playing LT for essentially the first time

I really hope to be wrong but I feel like it’s a huge reach. Dude is big and strong but he looks extremely stiff and he has played almost 1800 snaps at RT in college and 0 at LT so of course we are going to try and change his position because they reached after Alt and Nabers were picked the 2 picks before them.
