SleepingTitan
Steve Wilks is available. Kyle just scapegoated him. Terrible decision. SuperFreak90, and Thrill
Jamalisms
Based on that presser ... Dennard won't be here long if the defense is successful. He's too direct, instant and magnetic as a speaker. Holz will stay forever even if the offense is successful. He's ... not Dennard. tgo, titanskick8851, VaTitan, and 2 others 1 3

To me - it's only a matter of time before Dennard is hired away and the Titans net a draft pick. He's an excellent leader and communicator. Good to have guys like Chris Harris and Ben Bloom on staff behind him who could be DC candidates in the future. If he was he wouldn't have accepted the job. Callahan needed someone at DC that he could turn over the defense to and let him run it. That's not who he needed on the offensive side of the ball...and that type of candidate wouldn't want to come into a situation where he was essentially the assistant OC. japan, TylerRoseFan, and Starkiller
oldschool
Was Holz really that unimpressive? I was hopeful after hearing Engram talking about Holz a few weeks ago.

But he's not a commanding presence. japan

I thought he got more comfortable as the press conference progressed. Way too much is being made of the fact that he's not some charismatic personality. But I didn't see anything that made me think he was in over his head or couldn't effectively communicate with his players.

I haven't seen one in a driveway in years. It’s a very poorly run operation bought up by national media conglomerate Whecho Media. I had a subscription for rural delivery for years and they didn’t pay their delivery people squat so the paper never got delivered. It was impossible to get credit for papers that were never received. We finally just gave up. I would still pay to get it delivered but apparently they can’t manage a business worth a damn. I No journalist above the level of "incompetent" would ever work for a local newspaper. They pay a pauper's wage, and switchboard operators have a better job outlook than print journalists. You have to admit they are trying way too hard to convince everyone that it’s all unicorns and rainbows at St. Thomas Sports Park. Vrabel might be a butthole, but he obviously felt RC was not a strong enough hire to give him the keys to car. That’s why all this fluff seems like damage control. Time will tell who was right and who was wrong. DCTitan

Well...at this stage it is all unicorns and rainbows. They haven't done anything yet. Did you expect them to come out in their introduction press conference and say they have to "play better, coach better"? Mythos27
