Turns out it's easier to hire quality assistants if you're not a control freak dickhead.

Callahan just said Wilson will have complete control and autonomy over the defense.

So why didn't other teams with elite QB's win at the pace/consistency NE did?  The NE way was more than just an elite QB.....Now the game has changed so some of the tenants they had are getting outdated.

Obviously BB is the difference.  The guy not only was a defensive savant, but he shifted his offense around to it's strengths.  Always had a solid line to give Brady time, had a good running game when they needed, broke records and almost went undefeated when they had a Hall of Fame receiver playing at the top of his game, and then shifted to leaning on TE production in the passing game because they had generational TEs.  The problem is that his coaching tree is not nearly as talented, and instead think they are something because they worked under BB.  I can't think of a single BB coaching tree guy that can shift his offensive focus the way BB did.

The Patriot way isn't just have Tom Brady -- that's too simplistic.

It also means being the absolute best cheaters, and be protected by the league due to the owner's influence.

Don't forget being in one of the weakest divisions for 20 years. 14 years of which were Chad Pennington, Sam Darnold, Dirty Sanchez...

The best work BB did was as DC for the Giants. Pats had some good defenses too, but let's not kid ourselves about who the OC was on those teams. Literally nobody who worked under him has done well because the secret to his sauce was MSG-Tom Brady.

You guys are embarrassing yourselves.  Pathetic.

He's had 4 years after forcing out the real GOAT to build a team, and he's failed. Doesn't sound like a genius to me. He had full control too.

29-38, 1 playoff appearance (lost wild card). CERTAINLY doesn't sound like someone you would want to rebuild either. Meanwhile, Brady goes to Tampa and just manufactures another SB win lol...Plus he was 32-18

Tom had more wins in 3 yrs in Tampa than BB had in 4 years w/o him.

At 71, sure you don't look for him or Pete Carroll to run a rebuild.

That all said, you can't just look at 2020-2023 to make a blanket assessment where BB for the better part of 40 years was a dominant DC and or HC with unprecedented sustained success not to mention developing the scouting system about 1/3 of the teams have been using.

But feel free to cry like little bitches because you're jealous of their success.
