Vrabel still gets a ton of national media love.

Quiver Chins also got fired less than a year after getting the extension.  And well, as much as I've railed on him, Vrabel is sort of a competent coach, well more than Quiver Chins was as a gm.

AJ Brown and Davis Long were hurt all the time with the Titans.   With their new teams they haven't missed any time. Coincidence or Titan related? Either way I'm tired of it

It's a big one. All offense:   By Bob McGinn     Our draft coverage at Go Long isn’t sanitized. The goal is to provide accurate, honest appraisals of players from those who ha

When quiver chins was fired, the team was 7-5 on the year.

Since then, Vrabel is 5-15.

If Amy is serious about winning a championship, then now is the time to make that move so that Ran can utilize our good draft capital and cap and build a modern NFL roster for the window with Levis' rookie contract.

The National Media doesn't care about the Titans and largely just look for the "narrative bullet-points" that Tennessee provides to the NFL. Those lazy narratives have been the legend of "the king" and "Vrabel's teams win games we're not supposed to win." The media will keep harping on those points over and over again until they are forced to develop some new ones. But its largely because no one cares about the Titans and they just want the quick run-down to give us lip-service when doing their work to talk about every NFL team.

I do believe Vrabel is a better HC than Quiver Chins was as a GM and I've said this for years.  At the same time, my rope with Vrabel is at the breaking point.  I truly believe his offensive philosophy is rooted in establishing the run and believing that sets up the pass - which he believes is largely derived of explosive play action deep shots.  I believe his view of OL traits is rooted in this (as was QC's) and why we constantly see turnstiles on the OL.   This is not a sustainable form of offense in today's game.  He's not changing IMO which is why the inevitable end result will be him getting fired.

Belichek certainly was able to change, and I suspect Vrabel is smart enough and can change..but this is the off-season to show whether this is indeed true or not..there are a lot of things that fans can spend their time and money on besides Titan tickets, and so I believe the sale of PSL's and tickets for the new stadium depends on developing Levis and an exciting passing game..as I stated, this off-season will show if Vrabel can adapt..

What happened to the built in injury excuse?  Vrabel doesn’t get to deflect some of this losses the way Tanny did?

Vrabel has stated way too many times that he believes the run sets up the pass and jizzes over OL pushing the pile.  He's not changing.

Kind of similar to how all the mock drafts have us taking a middle LB every single year lol.

I'm not sure this is accurate anymore and I don't think it matters anyway.

She should have fired them both

As long as LTs need to be better pass protectors than RTs, the better/rarer athletes will play LT and be more valuable. Both are of great value on the field but the pass blocking LT will always be more valuable than most RTs. RTs with the pass blocking ability to match an LT rarely play RT for long or they happen to be on a team with an even better pass blocker at LT.

Or they happen to be on a team with a left handed QB ;)

Nothing has changed for the Titans after the first two games of week 17 they are still going to need some massive upsets to be in a position to move higher than 7th in the draft order.

If both the Colts and Jags win tomorrow that basically kills any chance of the Titans SOS falling below the Chargers SOS before the season ends.
