Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

It does make you wonder if AAS came to this realization over the last few years and this past Sunday it just boiled over.

I told y’all who the eliete one is.  It’s been Vrabel all along.

stability starts at the top.  This roster turned into a disaster so quickly….  I love AAS for being decisive.  Vrabel is the one to build around…. I just hope we done lose him

Come on ctm, he doesn't meet anyone's standards.  With the exception of TGO and Japan.

There were some others.  I took a beating when I said the team should have waited on an extension to see how the season played out.  I don't remember anyone agreeing with me.

While the timing was surprising, if you think about it the stance on JRob had been gradually getting pretty dire around here even if it wasn't necessarily overtly so. Just yesterday I was part of a discussion about seeing a guy like Woolen shine as a late round pick while Farley busts it up as a 1st. Just too many negatives around his decisions of late.

Which is just shocking considering how much it seemed like those 2 were in lock-step with each other the whole way.

I really think the AJ situation is what tipped everything over the edge though.

Again, I mentioned it in the off-season, these two haven't necessarily been on the same page for awhile now.

His drafting in the 1st wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.  3 guys are good starting players (1 All Pro), 3 are busts, 1 is a Top 3-5 DT, and 1 is TBT but certainly looks like he'll be a good or maybe even great player.  For a team which was constantly winning and drafting at the end of each round, that's a reasonably good hit rate, especially considering that he found All Pro and starting talent outside of the 1st

Where he sucked was keeping quality players he drafted/signed and signing players in FA.  It led to an accumulation of lost talent, wasted picks, and wasted money.   He seemed to want to go after the shiny toys instead of sticking what was working for him, which was building through the draft and finding cheaper quality players on the market .  He overestimated his own savvy and resourcefulness
