Popular Post Number9
I think it's Derrick Henry, without debate. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-players-to-root-for-in-2021-one-selection-from-each-team Derrick Henry I mean, how do you not like Henry? There was one time he was at the NFL Network studios and I saw him walking through the newsroom. Looking at him from a distance, I asked myself, “Who is this lineman walking through here?” And then when he got up close and I saw that it was him, I was like, Whoa, how does anybody ever stop this person? https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/top-100-nfl-players-of-2021-patrick-mahomes-holds-on-to-no-1-spot-josh-allen-rockets-into-top-10/ #11 Derrick Henry He rushed for an NFL-leading 2,020 yards last season, getting the Titans to the playoffs again. He is a bruising runner who has emerged as one of the best weapons in the game. ** I would find a way to put Derrick on the Top 10 NFL Players List, but CBS says #11. Which players above Henry would I take out? The first one who sticks out to me is Tom Brady, but you have to give the 44 year old his due. He just won the SB playing against the #1 player and the #5 player. He also beat down #4 Aaron Rodgers to get to the SB. Yes, it was a beat down @GB, ARod within spitting distance of the goad line and he couldn't beat the old geezer. Travis Kelce #5, IDK. Kelce is a nice player, but I don't think he belongs in the Top 5. I definitely don't believe he's better than Henry. The first player I would take off is #10, Bills' Qverrated Back Josh Allen. I like Allen, but he put up such a stinker in Primetime at Nissan. I hopped off the Allen is the next Elite QB train and never got back on. So, I take Josh Allen off and put Derrick Henry in at #5. IsntLifeFunny
In terms of success of the team it’s Tannehill and it isn’t close. If you factor in rankings by position relative to others it’s Henry, and it isn’t close. We have a strange combo when it comes to that situation. Tannehill is a 5-7 QB but is the main reason we’ve been winning the past two seasons. Henry is by far the best running back in the league. Damn good duo. No one thinks Tannehill is the best player at his position in the league though, the QB is just the most important position on a team. So do you go with the guy at the most important position or a guy who is arguably the best in the league at his position? titanruss

wiscotitansfan
Best player on this roster relative to his peers? Henry..... Best player in terms of who is MVP of the team? Tannehill. We are a middling team without a great QB and Marita proves that. With a simply pretty far below average but not historically bad QB we had a truly truly awful offense but when you swap in 1 player and we turn into an elite offense, it says all you need to know. Popular Post NashvilleNinja
Best right now skillset for skillset? Derrick Henry Best career? Julio Jones Most potential for the future? Kinda teetering between Henry and AJB, but probably favors AJB Most important/MVP? Ryan Tannehill Edited August 3, 2021 by NashvilleNinja Come on Titans, TNTitans, pat, and 3 others
BaddKarma
Its RT17 by a nose hair. Henry is close. If it were a tie, the QB always wins because of the requirements of the job. All that said, this team works because they all need each other. No one player is going to carry this team to a SB. Thus the question is moot. If Vrabel doesn't screw this up, we could be in for a few special years... Oiler FANatic

It's like using cherry picked stats to prove an argument. You can damn near find anything to prove whatever point you want to make. And there's a point at which the best player "skillset for skillset" intersects with also being the most important/MVP, but on this team it's a mix. In the end I really don't care because they all make this car go vroom. But if Tannehill were to be injured or fall off the offense would grind to a damn near halt, unless DeShone Kizer somehow found a career hidden somewhere up his ass and around the corner. Number9
The question is who is the best player? On the Titans team? If you ask just as the list above did Who is the best player? There is no "well, if the team needs a FG who is the best player?" It's not who is the best player if we need to return a punt. It's just who is the best single player? IMO, it Derrick. Derrick Henry is a generational back. He the best RB in the NFL and number two is way back there. Aaron Donald is number two on the CBS list because he's a badass. Nobody is talking about Lamar Jackson is better than him because Jackson is not a better player. If you took Lamar Jackson off the Ravens they would likely lose more games than if you remove Donald from the Rams. But Aaron Donald is a better player than Jackson. You could debate what is the most important position? If somebody said LS, then that's when you have the argument and say "NO, I think it's the place kick holder." If position and team success don’t factor in then it’s easily Henry. In terms of team success though it isn’t close. If Henry goes down this is still a playoff team. If Tannehill goes down we are winning 6-7 games at most. Number9
Popular Post OILERMAN
I'd say purely the "best player" is Henry although Julio is right there. I'd put Lewan in contention if he wasn't coming off the ACL, obviously Tannehill is among the best. Saffold is probably higher up than given credit for. AJ Brown could easily be the best player or among the best this season. Ideally Simmons becomes a contender for the best player this year and Byard returns to form.
