I love them but I like the color orange a lot. It's definitely a polarizing look though, there is no middle ground with those. The Bucs are wise to not overdo it or go back to a full rebrand with them.

The creamsicle uniforms are not just objectively or subjectively awful, its scientific fact they are the worst uniform ever devised. The fact no1 has been sent to an insane asylum for even joking that they like them is an affront to every god of any race, region or creed as well as a detriment to our survival as a species.

My guess is most people in a random sports bar would find it strange that fans of a team in Nashville would want their team to be called the Oilers instead of having something that was made for their city. Most non-affiliated people tend to prefer the older version of every team's uniform, so I'd fully expect people to prefer the older Oilers jersey over the current Titans uniform. Personally I'd love the Titans uniform to be simpler with the same colors. It's just funny that people can't accept things as they are. They're the Titans. The point I was making with regard to the year 2000 is that everyone's perception is wildly different when things are going well. If the team was winning this wouldn't even be a conversation. But the team is trash and so everything about them is trash purely by proximity. You mentioned the Bucs uniform and with time the creamsicle has become a classic. In its day the Bucs were frequently as bad as the Titans are now and everyone mocked the Bucs for their creamsicles. Now the Bucs wear them occasionally and suddenly it's some great uniform. I doubt many Bucs fans would trade the pewter and red full time for the creamsicles. When the Oilers moved here, nobody talked about their great 'brand'. It was widely made fun of for the baby blue. It's not some great brand(well maybe for the city of Houston it is), it's just nostalgia.

If you went to a sports bar on an NFL Sunday and ask John Q Football I would be shocked if more than 3/10 people chose titans branding. The funny thing is that you accused me of my belief being centred around nostalgia when I think the reverse is the case. You mention how the Titans had more achievements, that’s nostalgia. Ask that question in 2025 not 2000. Ask people born after 1994ish to eliminate the supposed bias and be astounded at how many select Oilers.

They host Cleveland next week. I'd favor the Browns to win that but it's close. Hosting Miami is another opportunity for them. I don't see them beating the Saints in New Orleans. Saints are 1-6 but they feel like a team that is a level above Titans, Jets and Dolphins. Week 18 is always a possibility. Last year the Bills realized the value in losing to New England. I'm sure they'dlay down for the Jets if it doesn't hinder their postseason status.

Jets have the 26th scoring defense they also have two of their 3 best players in Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner out injured. The Jets do have more "winnable" games than the Titans on the run home but they also have a much lower SOS than the Titans so they would win the draft tiebreaker if both team finished with the same record.

I have zero nostalgia for the Oilers. The branding for the Oilers is just superior. Clean, timeless logo and a uniform that separates itself from the endless sea of navy blue. Titans branding is somehow bloated while being boring. Idgaf about history’s of the teams. I just want the superior brand.
