The main discussion is pretty simple. Some of us think he is a wr 4-6 who needs to be more consistent or learn to play ST to gurantee a roster spot. The other group think he is a lock and that he played well last year which is the part making me laugh my ass off. Interesting. I guess I fall somewhere in the middle. The way I see it, how big his role is depends on how Ridley performs. If Rid can be the guy we paid him to be then it'll be tough for Ayo to get reps unless an injury occurs. If Rid stinks, I think Ayo gets the nod at Z over Dike even though Dike is more explosive. That said, I think if everyone is healthy and playing well, Dike gets the nod over Ayo as WR 4 situationally. Either way I do think he's a lock because of what the team has said about him and Dike. They see them as guys they like and want to develop. Ridley could be gone sooner rather than later and Ayo costs next to nothing. I see no reason either would get cut. Considering how long the overall unit has been below average i think its a good thing its a debate...if even a bit overstated in regards to Ayomanor begooode, and Mythos27

I think most of us agree he will likely make it, its the lock part raising contention. That I like tate is also apparently a problem, I cant be objective about ayo because of it or something like that lol. Mythos27

Ridley took a pay cut to be here and he 100% will not be back next season unless he restructures again. He had a 12% drop rate, is coming off a big injury and is 32. it's in shorts but from the camp notes, Ayo has been starting and been the player that has stood out the most 2 out of 3 days, hasn't dropped a ball and was one of the most notable players the other day. Dike has been with the 2/3s. Ridley has been ill but not ahead of Ayo in reps or with team. It would be interesting to see the alignments as guys move around in this offense. I think part of the notion that some think Tates best position may be Z would mean that Ayo could be X and that is maddening to a certain group... even though this offense doesn't really do traditional / stationary XYZ recievers and the z starter could be the target share leader by 50 balls. Also, Oman and several others flat out believe Bryce Oliver will make the team over Ayo because he plays ST... which is retarded. Ayo didn't plays special teams because he was the number 1 last year. Just bad takes all around from them and weirdly defensive while throwing hate towards Ayo ... seems insecure for some reason. If you try and tell someone they are dancing on the edge of a cliff and it doesn't work you raise your voice a little to try and save the moron. The idea that you think it's a weird fan club when it's just people arguing against retarded bullshit while having hope for last years draft picks is what's actually weird. The over the top love is clearly you with Tate- self admitted by you. No one has gotten anywhere close to as weird fanboy as you have with him. Honestly it seems that people's assessments of Ayo are very different. If we were going solely off of his performance last year, then I get the idea that he's not a lock. He really struggled, was inconsistent, and I'd argue he dropped off some down the stretch. However, he seems to be a year more developed, having a strong camp, I've heard reports from media people saying that the coaches see a future with him, and the guy in front of him had arguably just as hard a year and won't be under contract soon. It would be unwise for the Titans to cut him for no reason or rush losing him to the practice squad. If he was looking like MHJ in camp then I'd think he was in some actual danger. This seems like a fair conversation to have where neither side is being ridiculous.
