I think they want vet reliable WRs for Cam, which is why they redid Ridley's deal. I think they signed Osborne in case Ridley wasn't ready or had more injuries.

Lol Ridley the least reliable player on the roster.

Welp there it is lol

lol PK posted AI slop and had to delete it    it was a graphic of the 30 most important titans at training camp this year and feature notable titans such as Jared Verse, Jaylon Johnson and N

It would be pretty ideal if Latham is making strides to becoming the OT he was drafted to be and Carmona is a solid starting rookie.

Wait, what? Based on last year, this seems like wishful thinking at best. Ridley was likely the most frustrating vet on the roster last year. Freaking stone hands, and his availability was very limited due to injuries. Just a crap year from the guy outside of a few plays.

Yeah he can't drop passes... but he's still a 100% lock. I posted the drop % chart for the whole league. There's about 30 pro bowlers and 55 total players with a much higher drop %. (33 tgts qualifier)

Ridley had over twice the drop%, is old, oft injured. Hes been a bust here by most all measures and had to restructure already to not be cut. He wont be back next season without another massive restructure - Ayo is a lock.

How many probowlers had a 42% catch rate.

How many probowlers had to play for the titans situation last year? Tyler Lockett was 47% for us... he left here and it jumped to 65%.

Ayo is 46% not 42. If you are trying to bash a dude, at least be accurate.

Ridley had 47% and a significantly worse drop rate... yet he's "inked in starter " lol.

You can't seem to see the clear patterns...

May the universe forgive me for not knowing the exact number for 1 stat I looked up months ago.

If you are spliting hairs between sub 50% catch rate players you may want your guy to be on the winning side of that atleast.

Ahh... so argument opponents should just ignore clear misrepresentation of facts?  There's no hair splitting but it is at least the 2nd time during this discussion where reported stats have been off towards your arguments favor. I dont necessarily think it's nefarious but yeah, should be corrected.

let me just repeat a pertinent part of my argument for you, Tyler locket was traded because he was being out performed by our rookies here. He had a catch rate of 47% here. He left to go to the friggin raiders, became a starter and his catch rate jumped 18 percentage points. Think through that for a second...

Your catch rate argument doesn't hold water because you Are ignoring the overarching factor here.  The only thing we know for sure from it is that Dike was a fit for Callahans long developing routes scheme.

I didn't mean reliable in terms of injury free. I meant a veteran WR who has starting experience and isn't a developmental prospect.

They made a real commitment with his restructure and guaranteed contract vs cutting him. They want Cam surrounded by quality weapons vs what he had last year

Here is another argument for you.

The team overpaid Robinson on a massive deal, they used their 4th overall pick on a WR and redid Ridley's contract to keep him. They literally said they didn't think Ayo and Dike were ready to be starters in the offseason.

This is more telling than any stats

What other stat did I clearly misrepresent?

Think what you want, ayo was a cluster fuck last year. Ran the wrong routes, gave up on routes, couldn't block.

Ill give you his drop rate isn't as bad as some others have been mentioning but dude, he was not good and it wasn't the teams fault.

Dike didnt seem to have a problem with running the wrong routes all the time, helm didnt give up on plays, both of those other 4th round rookies forced into major roles played well.

He's clearly on the roster for that. He also has worked with Daboll before... but he's also 32, the most unreliable receiver on the roster, coming off a major injury, and won't be back I. 2027. Inking him in as the starter right now seems the default but is by no means a guarantee.

In all honesty, we have very little idea what to expect from Riddley this year, esp with a new offense, coaches, etc.  Reasonable arguments can be made ranging from leading receiver, to playing himself out of the line up -- and that's before even considering his injury history. His hands were THAT bad.

With that out of the way, I am not rooting against the guy or anything.  Cam needs every receiver to play at a high level to improve over his rookie campaign and make this team competitive again.

They redid Ridley's contract to make it reasonable to even roster him and be able to cut or trade him if needed. He was gone if they didn't. That doesn't hold water. I think it's been implied that Ridley was easily on board so he could stay as his value had tanked.  He also wanted to work with Daboll and likely try to get one more contract somewhere before he retires and feels it's his best shot.

he HAS to restructure again to be back next year.  You dont sacrifice future talent for 1 year rentals.

it was something to do with drop rate. the drop rate for Ayo was misrepresented by like double I think.. and maybe Ridley's was too low. I can go check but figured you'd remember.

Yeah he was def a rookie that shouldn't have been forced to face the #1 db every week against the hardest defensive schedule in decades. He looked in over his head at time.  I don't see how you can absolve the team and Callahans offense from this especially when not helping him get a free release against those difficult odds.

i still don't recall any plays where Ayo gave up and that's completely off brand from every coaches words about him.  Pulled up with a hammy injury? Maybe? He was hurt for like 5 weeks but playing late in the year.
