Vrabel and Russini

Callahan and Carthon were exactly the opposite of necessary. They could absolutely have hired competent people the first time and the instability resulting from having to pivot again presents problems.

The hope is simply that they have good answers in those roles now and can grow from here but pretending they had to fuck up horribly on both hires is plainly nonsensical.

The point I was getting at is that we are where we are, for better or worse, and it looks to finally/hopefully be for the better. And if the winding, tortuous path ultimately leads to the Titans winning multiple Super Bowls? Totally worth it.

What we all predicted lol

What a coward, doesn’t she know Jamal knows she’s innocent?

Her playing the victim and blaming the media is pitiful. She did this all herself   It sounds like the investigation uncovered more proof about them being guilty, which led to her resigning.

2. Russini ain't broke. People acting like she makes 40k a year in here. According to reports she has a net worth of 5 million and her husband only makes a little over 100k a year. She's clearly the breadwinner in the household.

Depends on her debt and spending.... she could be in financial stress quickly

Sure, but that wasn't the point being made. People were trying to insinuate that she was a poor reporter being taken advantage of by the mean male millionaire and that the power dynamics played a role, casting her as a victim in a way.

It's hilarious, and maybe a little sad, to me that some people are treating Russini like she's a victim here or saying that either one of these people are a bigger piece of shit than the other.

1. Russini ain't a victim, she's an adult and a professional who works for a major news reporting agency and has a name that most of the country knows. She's perfectly capable of getting stories without sleeping with men to get them - she chose to do that to get an advantage over others who worked just as hard to try to get to where she was.

2. Russini ain't broke. People acting like she makes 40k a year in here. According to reports she has a net worth of 5 million and her husband only makes a little over 100k a year. She's clearly the breadwinner in the household.

3. Vrabel has always been an asshole. We just liked him when he was our asshole and now we hate him because he's someone else's asshole. This is who he is and who he's always been. No one should feel sorry for the guy and he deserves all the criticism he gets because he's had plenty to say and he's portrayed himself publicly as someone he's clearly not. A man who has been with his wife since 1999, has two kids, and built a life with her but then goes and does this.... he deserves zero sympathy from any of us.

4. Same for Russini. She hasn't been married as long but she is married and she has kids. Profoundly selfish. All the crying about power structure and blah blah blah. No one made her do it. Plenty of women make a great career in broadcast and media without resorting to sleeping with sources. Not only did she cheat to get ahead and compromise her journalistic integrity along the way, but this is also a slap in the face to all the women who worked their asses off and only perpetuates the culture where future women may feel pressured to make similarly selfish decisions.

I don't hate them and I don't wish anything bad on anyone but I do feel sorry for their families, I condemn their behavior and I condemn those who would defend either one of them as if they are some victim in all of this.

Edit:  Was the bread winner....

I really want to agree with you here, but damn the Titans have played a LOT of horrible, embarrassingly bad football over these past +2 years. At this point Cam has got to be the guy, or it’s just too hard to watch for 3 hours every week.

He is. They just need to give him some weapons so he doesn't keep trying to do too much and can develop better habits in the pocket.

I made a comment about power dynamics but this is much stronger than what I was trying to say.

I do think a reporter looking for insider information is not on equal footing with a coach. Florio talked about it but you have to do certain things to be one of the few with insider status and they can cut you off at any time if you're not presenting info how they want (he used himself as an example). It may be a choice if she's greasing the wheels by "whoring her way to prominence" or however you want to word what's been suggested over and over in this thread ... but that simply proves out who is in control.

With that said, it's petty easy to come to different opinions on how strong the imbalance is.
