Completely making this up but I'm willing to bet that Russini had met with some girlfriends for a hiking trip before Vrabel arrived and used them as a cover for why she was even in the area to her husband. 

 

But you cant use that excuse or show photos if there's not going to be photos with Vrabel also in them.

The bigger POS is Russini. Vrabel is just a cheating on his wife Head Coach .  He’s not unique in that regard.

 

But Russini is supposed to be an impartial journalist who is supposed to be relay facts (and conclusions/takes ) to the reading audience.  That “impartiality” goes out the window once she sleeps with a source.

The truth started to come out. She needed to get ahead of the truth by publicly claiming slander"ish" behavior by rando's (no one directly and not an actual accusation because.. lol). 

 

There likely was nothing actually new other than a little more proof of the real situation.

Eh, they're equally sized POS from a personal standpoint. Uniqueness doesn't play a factor. You could make an argument she's slightly bigger just when you add up all the public comments she's made about her husband, but they're ancillary at best.

From a professional ethics standpoint she is definitely the dirtier of the two for the reasons you said. It's why she's resigning and Vrabel's not going anywhere.

 

Having said that, if the Patriots take a fairly big step back in the next year or two, Vrabel may wind up feeling the heat himself. I'm betting this little trist just used up a shit ton of good will he'd built up with the Super Bowl run. Sure, his fellow meathead fans slipping him an ass slap and a good ol "attaboy" might help soften things a little in the short term, but in general people who hadn't already started to distrust him will start to.

 

He'd better keep winning. He should know better than anyone given that franchise's history the past 2.5 decades what people's expectations are now that he pushed the team all the way back to the Super Bowl (on the back of the easiest schedule in history). Pressure's on now, motherfucker.
