Let’s just ignore all evidence — concrete, circumstantial, and contextual — and blame “the narrative”. LOFL

This is the smart move for her.. likely directed from her lawyer or agent.  

 

Now the Athletic and NYT now have no real need to investigate other than curiosity and them looking into themselves and this situation will likely only hurt their rep more. It also helps Vrabel and the Pats some too. 

 

 She can say that she was treated poorly and left on her own terms. This also eliminates any money owed to her. 

 

If she really meant any of the above then she would find a way to sue for mistreatment. 

 

Hopefully this doesn't go away though. This needs to be investigated by the league and other agencies... this is not a time to protect other journalists.
