No, personally not really, but it seems to me like the Titans may be. I think for me it would come down to how much higher Love is graded as a prospect vs the edges and Tate. If your number 1 overall strategic objective is to ensure that Ward continues to develop, I can see an argument where Love gives you some floor underneath Ward to ensure some early success and more development time, maximize him through taking some defensive attention off him, and ultimately ensure he performs/develops as a young QB in a new offense. titanskick8851, airmcnair22, IsntLifeFunny, and 2 others 4

titanskick8851
LMAO! That's heavy even for a 90 man roster. I assume they will cut some of these lower level DL guys here once the draft concludes. SleepingTitan, Justafan, and tgo
Popular Post Justafan
To me, it's pretty simple. If they believe that Bain or Bailey are blue chip edges - one of those should be the pick. No question. If they don't believe either one of them are true blue chip rushers, then guys like Tate and Reese become much more viable. IF they believe that Tate can be a blue chip X receiver, they should probably take him and if they believe Reese is a true x-factor chess piece they should probably take him. HOWEVER, if they aren't convinced any of those things are true, and if we're being honest, you can poke holes in all of these guys, then Love is the best player in this draft and even though he plays a non premium position, he has the potential to move the needle more than anyone else. He also has the ability to do it immediately which should be even more appealing. There are things that we simply don't know though, and without knowing those things, it's impossible to know which COA are foolish fan talk and which ones live in reality. To pretend otherwise is just hubris and ego, not anything grounded in reality. In the end, Daboll liked Schlottman enough to want him on his new team. Presumably he thinks the guy is good enough to at least compete for the starting job. Meanwhile they also have Slater, who should presumably be in line to compete for a starting job at either C or RG. Long story short, expect them to have a camp competition for the job. titanskick8851, Omar, and Tex in a Can
TeamRamrod
I think they pretty clearly got blindsided by the McGovern resigning SleepingTitan, and titanskick8851 1
Bongo59
With the latest signings I think 4 is now Love or Styles. Hard for me to argue this right now. DL is close to loaded and has three waves already. DCTitan, Lantern, and titanskick8851

Yep, about half a dozen of those guys will be gone immediately after the draft to make room for UDFAs. titanskick8851
Bongo59
I think Volson is a going to play RG. Slater is the C. titanskick8851

Grizz
The more I think about the Love possibility, the more I am okay with high end running back. It is the position where guys come in and can perform at the highest level from the jump. It's the position where age affects you the most. Truly elite production at QB and RB on the cheap. Then we head into next season's draft where the absolute strength should be WR. I actually feel pretty good about the defensive line purely based on what we have right now. Look at this group compared to last season...what a difference. I think Martin will come in and be good. titanskick8851, and Pragidealist
