This is the smart way to spend cap money too. Lock up guys you are 100% of and frontload it as much as you can.

5 years 110mil 50mil signing and 40mil base year one. 😉

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

Ridley's drops drove me insane last year and I'd definitely prefer someone else, but there is absolutely a path to him staying. Free agent WRs are going to cost a lot of money, more money than we're gonna lose by cutting Ridley. So while he's expensive, he may still be the best WR for the cost.

We also all hated Van Jefferson for his drops preseason, and his hands were way more consistent during the regular season. I think it's entirely possible that the Titans could add a #1 (X) and allow Ridley to be more of a #2 at the Z.

The most ideal scenario at this point is Pittman (assuming he's available), or Tate if Pittman is unavailable or if they decide to go that way in the 1st instead of edge.

Cutting Ridley saves 13M against the cap.  That will more than pay for a new contract for Romeo Doubs as an example.  Ridley is age 31 and breaking down.  Doubs is 25.

Gets some guys in here who can play with Cam for several years to come.

If they are signing Doubs then it’s to be the X receiver. He wouldn’t be replacing Ridley.

No way I get rid of Ridley.  He is cheap on today market and we need him this last yr.  I think he jumps like Gray did last yr with Cam and then everyone is going to be, can we keep him in 2027. I feel the same about Chig.  I hope he get nada in FA and comes back

Am I on crack or is this account on crack? I could swear Sko is still on his 4 year rookie deal that runs through 2026, with a 5th year option that would run it through 2027.

Visions of Munchak and Matthews from that pic.

Just finished watching that Daboll introductory press conference and honestly found it hard to get a feel for what they are going to do with Ridley.

Found it a little weird Daboll didn't specifically name Ridley (your current WR1) when listing some of the pieces they had but then when directly asked about Ridley he made it known he didn't want to discuss roster decisions but looked forward to working with Ridley.

You may have answered your own question here...

Him and Skoronski were fucking awesome after the first few weeks

Partly because they got fully healthy, partly because Brian Callahan is a terrorist

Zeitler the first 6ish weeks was horrific. The last 8 or so weeks he was really good. Didnt think he was good enough to make this kinda comeback though.
