Simmons likely isn't stepping into live NFL action in 2026 while he only has $6.47 million of guaranteed money left on his existing deal. There is a reason why Simmons switched out agents this season ahead of contract talks this offseason. There's also the possibility they could bring Ridley back for one more go at it. If they do then it may not be as pressing to go get a guy right now.
