Titans Offseason Discussion Thread

I blame anyone offloading talent that's successful elsewhere when we have 110 million in cash now and can't buy the same level.

Would the Titans be any better off today had we signed Byard to the same contract the Bears gave him 2 years ago?

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

Proof?

You can read that thread. There was a well-respected guy that broke down the types of pass rushes from low-effort to elite. The difference between PFR's # of pressures and PFF's was right in line with those low-effort pressures that PFF tracks.

PFR has been around longer and had been the most cited stat research site for decades. They were doing pressure stats before PFF was a company.  Now that PFF is here,  pressures are higher across the board (just 1 among many other subjective stats). The league and various networks and announcers are invested in PFF, so they cite them more... so now their pressure metric is the most accepted.

I dunno. Possibly.... depends on your definition. Better as in more wins? Would we still have Cam?

But we lost several players in that span that were not necessary, we didnt replace them, and it irks me.

PK mentioned on his podcast today in his discussions with members of the Titans front office regards early thoughts on the draft he got the impression they are currently behind schedule on their draft evaluations as they have spent so much time making calls and vetting these HC candidates over the last 10 weeks.

It makes sense given the head coach search is the most immediate priority but it also means they are going to need to play catch up from late January when the HC search is concluded.

I’ll take over the draft evaluations

Dennard Wilson - Hard to judge him with the lack of talent on the defensive side, is he worth keeping around in some capacity?

If the Titans do end up hiring Harbaugh, my guess would be he stays as he was the DB coach in Balt before this.

A couple of non coaching search points from Borgonzi's OTP sitdown

- He was happy that Jackson Slater got some reps against the Jags and though we did a good job with those reps.

- Good character and good football character are once again be very high on the list of traits heading into FA and the Draft.

Point #2 is why George Pickens is not a realistic option for us in FA, opposed to many posters' predictions here.
