Titans Get The #4 Pick In The Draft

Haven't waded through all of this so apologies if this has been discussed and I missed it. 

 

This intel coming out today is interesting. A lot of noise around Love and the Cardinals. The narrative that the owner is driving the momentum for drafting him seems oddly specific--at first it was someone with significant pull, and then it comes out that it is the owner. 

 

This does seem intentional on the end of the Cards, and I could see this being the GM stoking fires for a trade down. 

 

At the end of the day, if he is willing and wanting to trade down, it could seem to be a good tactic to push Love out there hard to bait those teams wanting an EDGE. It lets the GM both put it out there that he really wants to trade down but has to have a deal that will convince owners. It also could be the perception of more competition for the pick or to try to bait the Titans (which Borgo won't do). 

 

I do agree that Styles and Tate are rising. What's going on with Reese shifting back to betting favorite at 2?

This is hilarious.  They won’t pass on Styles (Mcshay).  WSH is the floor for Love (Schefter) .  Now Tate and Downs/Lemon.

yep exactly. The only insider that I think has ties to the Titans is Breer and this is what he said in his article today. This was his stance based on Bailey going at 2 to the Jets 

 

Like Arizona, the Titans would love to move down and build up more capital. Yes, they have nine picks, but only three in the top 100. If they get stuck, my sense is that it’ll be one of three guys at 4: Love, Reese or Styles. Getting Love would be an investment in young quarterback Cam Ward, in his ability to routinely generate better down-and-distance situations and serve as an outlet for easy completions in the passing game. Can the people clamoring for Reese at #4 honestly say they see a Top 5 pick here, let alone at edge?   I would expect for such a talent to do something other than be completely erased from the field during their biggest game.
