He's strong as shit.  I like him as a football player.  But right now all he has is the power move.  No bend, dip, or counters.   If he was Rashaan Gary's size , I would still be intrigued as he could make a living throwing NFL tackles around.  But at 240 lbs with 32 inch arms, that's not going to happen.  He plays like the biggest, strongest guy on the field, but he's going to be far from that in the NFL and will need to win in ways that he never showed that he could in college.

There’s that one where he uses the one arm to shed the OL then chases after the QB.

 

I still don’t think they trade down unless it’s close to where they can still get an elite player .  DAL is too far at 12.  Interestingly enough , they might pick Bain if they trade down.

 

Anyway, their options are limited to the Saints or Chiefs .

 

And if you believe the guys that cover the team , they will take one (edge ) if one of the two reaches them

 

Heck, the mouthpiece Wyatt has basically said as much.  He even was pretty specific that they would draft an edge rusher early and solve that need.

Well at least you're backtracking a bit. I'll see if I can find the clip of him winning with speed. It's the last one against an LT. 

 

The kid is a freak athlete with speed and power. He's just learning how to be an EDGE. He isn't what I would call an ideal pick at 4, but in this draft he's easily a top 5 player and has an elite level ceiling.

Eric Galko also mentioned he knows of multiple teams that feel that the Rams are willing to trade 2027 draft capital to move up for WR and that WR is believed to be Jordyn Tyson.

5,6 and 7 seem to be optimal spots esp if you need to cut in front of NO or KC.

My Draft Thoughts Monday Edition:

 

There isn’t a player we could take at #4 that would make me mad. The only spot that would be a WTF would be CB because of what we spent in FA. Totally fine and would love Keionte Scott in Round 2 or 3, but I don’t want Delane at #4

 

Ignore the week of noise. It’s an edge rusher if one falls or it’s Love. Styles is the only wild card. IMO it’s Edge > Love > Styles

 

Jermod McCoy would be our pick if JRob was still GM. Watch the Dolphins at 30 for him.

One of the first things that I pointed out was how strong that he was.  The remarks about his athleticism at a bit over the top - he wasn't even the most athletic LB on his own team.  There are several edge players who have better size and comparable athleticism, as well as a more developed skillset.  

 

As I said, if he was an unpolished physical marvel without the production like Travon Walker, I could understand betting on the upside.  But he's 240 lbs.  So wtf are we talking about here?
