Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

I honestly think we should take BPA at almost every pick, esp the first few. Excepting QB, it's hard to name a position where we couldn't use a talent upgrade and/or young depth.

Edit: nvm! Reading comprehension!

Way higher priority? Not so sure about that. Cam will never succeed without weapons. And right now he has some pretty average ones. I don't see OL being a priority in the draft - They will probably grab one in third or later, although a second round pick is possible. There are gonna be plenty of G available in FA After the draft I would think.

Idk, a RG in the 2nd/3rd is pretty high priority. That's the spot that's the most glaringly open. People seem to think center will be ok for a year and hope that Slater can take that job. Maybe Sko could move to RG if they find a LG they really like (Pregnon?l.

I don't understand Oman's comments about WR being ignored at all. They may not see the X receiver role being as important in Daboll's offense and won't bother drafting Tate in 1 and maybe Ayomanor can grow into it but not adding anyone there at all to compete is just short-sighted non-sense. X as a throwaway position? Nah.

Correct. This has always been the correct interpretation. It's why even if I didn't like say choosing Styles I would understand it.

I think you want to take your X receiver (or OTs or edge rushers for that matter) in the first round or early second 🤷‍♂️ At some point you have to let the guys play you’ve already invested in at the other spots. Unless they’re completely out on Chim or Ayomanor.

I think they could see Chim taking over for Ridley after next year. But Ayo is supposed to be the X/boundary guy, right? Obviously I think Tate should be that guy here, but if Daboll diminishes the importance of that role in his offense (idk if he does or doesn't) then Tate could be a wasted pick at 4.

Ignoring receiver in the draft after getting past the 1st/2nd round just seems ridiculous considering the shortcomings we had there last year. They may not take a guy in the first couple rounds, but I can't see them waiting until day 3 again to take somebody if they have an extra picks. I'm not saying take a guy just for the sake of it, but it seems pretty obvious receiver is high on their list of priorities.

This is going to take multiple years. But I agree obviously if there’s a guy they have at the top of the board then they should take him.

If Love is the 1st pick, he will command a lot of touches. With the OL needs, I can see the chance WR falls to day 3.

Yep, but if you take an Edge at 4 then you basically have to go WR in the second round.

Weren’t Josh and Hayden advocating for Love like last week? Why are (typically smart) media folks pretending like all this stuff is new information this week finally?

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!

Mediamen before footballmen. Gotta follow the news cycle.
