Is it just me or does anyone else think calling torn ligaments a sprain is dumb?

Great news

I could've predicted this. You don't play your future franchise QB last game in a meaningless season when he's been healthy all year. Stupid management

Yeah I know, just like New Orleans and possible NYG. Im so glad they rested Shough and Dart. 😐

Because it’s his throwing shoulder, it’s extra worrisome. He could lose some mobility in that shoulder which would hinder his cannon of an arm and his ability to throw from so many different arm angles accurately. Really hope they are just going with their worst case initial diagnosis and it’s not as bad as a grade 3 can be.

So from what I see surgery is required in 2% of AC joint sprains. Worst case hes out till June. Though brutal it could be worse. And this is worst case.

Thats because most AC Joint sprains aren't grade 3 on a QBs throwing arm.

A grade 3 on a QB throwing arm almost always ends up being surgery.

I think the risk of this “ruining” him is very low with the quality of care that he’ll receive but it’s 4-6 months of offseason training he’ll miss out on which definitely sucks. You know he would have been working hard at improving and instead he’ll be working hard on rehab.

Quit providing a reasonable take!

New offseason development plan for Ward:

Reconstruct and rehab shoulder, get back to square 1 before training camp. Delay square 2 for 2027 offseason.

This is my primary concern eeyore. Ward needs major work on his mechanics and to get reps with his receivers and tight ends. Now he wont conceivably throw till the summer.
