McCaffrey is a problem. Good test for Gray and Barton and Winston if he is able to move back to this traditional position.

 

I'm really curious to see if the Titans are able to keep putting pressure on the QB with Harrell and Key on the edges. I expected a complete collapse

when we traded Jones but Simmons, Sweat and Day have been getting after it.

 

I'm so far down the path that the roster is atrocious that I keep getting surprised when the defense is nearly adequate.  Harris might be this year's

version of Brownlee ... a guy outperforming his draft position. And Baker holds up better than anticipated. 

 

Is Dennard Wilson starting to get on top of the Defensive Coordinator position that he clearly had to grow into?

The fact that the Titans are 13th in sacks is the most surprising thing of the season so far for me. They even generated pressure when Simmons was out. Going in it seemed like they would be among the worst with their edge players. I'd consider keeping Ward after this season. 

 

If they can add a Bain/Reese type to pair with Simmon it could really be good.

They are good at generating pressure against teams who have injury crippled OL, like the Browns and Chargers. 

 

In the end, they desperately need talent at edge to go along with Jeff. They can get some pressure with guys like Key or Jihad or Dremont Jones but they don’t threaten anyone consistently.

This seems likely too. Even if we trade down and miss one of these guys there are a few top end pass rushers. 

 

I may be crazy, but I wouldn't hate a trade down that nets an extra first this year, second and/or third and we double dip on EDGE and CB.

McCaffrey is amazing. Wonder if he’ll finish top 5 all time in all purpose yards for a RB. Surely he’ll finish #1 in receiving yards and receptions.
