It no longer surprises me how retarded some of these guys are in real life.  Would be in a gutter somewhere if he simply hadn’t been born with physical traits above 99.99999 percent of the population.  The highest level of financial literacy assistance is right there for the taking that the NFL even provides for them.  Billion dollar body, 10 cent brain.

The thing is, a lot of these guys grow up in low income families/situations. Finances aren't anything they were ever taught, their families living paycheck to paycheck (at best). So coming into a massive surplus of cash it feels like they fell into forever money. But Beckham didn't grow up in a poverty/low-income situation so he really has little to no excuse for this stupidity. He should know better.

Craziest part about this is he didn't just get $100M handed to him -- then blew it. He's had a gross salary over $1M/mo for the past few years. He also converted $500K sign on bonus into BTC in 2021 which would now be $750k if he didn't blow it.

NFL needs to create a mandatory retirement savings program for these athletes. Just 5% of his earnings per year would've grown significantly since 2018.

The NFL doesn’t need to protect these guys from themselves. That’s the job of the players union if they want to get involved.

But in the end it’s on the idiots who blow their entire fortune in retirement.
