So every team that trades a player for draft capital is trying to lose and tanking.  Got it.

lol then exactly how many players being traded constitutes not putting the best team on the field and giving yourself the best chances of winning.

That McCreary trade is already paying off for the Rams.  They won their game today.  Titans screwed up big time.

A) they beat the Saints who might be worse than the Titans and B) he played ZERO defensive snaps.

he was a non factor

Why does that matter?  Someone actually has to be on the field to impact the game?  Football is a team sport.  And it didn't matter who the opponent was today.  The confidence the team gained from adding an All-Pro CB spelled doom for whoever they will face.

I wonder if there could possibly be a market for a coach so uninspring and stupid that a bad team can hire him for the sole purpose of increasing the chances of their team to lose and get a better draft pick.

This seems to happen way more in MLB and NBA—the recycling of bad head coaches.  Those sports are okay with teams openly rebuilding /tanking .  The Twins just hired the Pirates former manger , Derrick Shelton , he of the .410 winning percentage.

You can’t tell me that the Twins are hoping to contend with that managerial hire.

You guys are idiots. The Titans FO, Coaches, and players would kill to go 9-8. They are not losing on purpose....

Nobody is tanking but everyone has given up (for the team). Individuals still want stats...

Trading players now in hopes of obtaining draft capital for the future means they are trying to establish the potential for winning in the future.

That's the exact opposite of trying to lose.

tanking obviously implies its for the current seson.

Semantics.

I don't care what people call it... what they're doing is what they said they were going to do, and that's build through the draft. You can't cook an omelet without cracking eggs. You don't build through the draft without picks and the only way you get more picks is through trades.
