The Front Office would not be selling off pieces if they thought they were any hope of going 9-8.

You are missing the point... there is a major difference in trading okayers for draft assets and intentionally losing games. I said they would love to go 9-8. Not that they belive that's possible.

I just don't have as strict definition of tanking as some do. To me tanking is making conscious decisions to lesson your chances of winning.

Selling off pieces and lessening your chances of winning is not only a long term roster building philosophy but it is a form of tanking as you are not giving yourself the best chance of winning.

But they gave their QB enough time to throw for 250 yds and run for 60 more.  Not bad.  Tell me how did TN starting OL do for Cam?  What did he do?  112 yds after his sacks and two fumbles.

lol those were not fumbles by Ward.

idc what the box score says.

You guys are idiots. The Titans FO, Coaches, and players would kill to go 9-8. They are not losing on purpose....

They (the FO) also ain’t trying to put the best team on the field.

coaches and players are still trying to win because they’re playing for future contracts and jobs.

There's a difference between prioritizing next season over this season and actively trying to lose games.

Tell that to callahan, he went all out to lose that game. He was actually so good at intentionally losing a game im suprised he isnt a half way decent coach, you need some level of understanding to get being intentionally wrong that right.

Intentional/non intentional, if there is one thing he could do well it’s coach a team to a loss.

FO is clearly tanking players coaches are not.

They are positioning for more than the rest of this season and next year.  McCreary-good player w/limitations. Is he a fit for 2027, 2028?  We need younger players to develop for this run.   It is wiser to develop the 2025 rookies, get another cb.

If they wanted to tank, bc was perfect.  He was a much larger problem than most people thought.  There were times today they looked better than bc ever had them looking.  Constantly getting the plays in leaving little time for Cam to call them and for the team to be imagining success.  bc had them lined up with shaving cream still on their faces.

Personally I view tanking as choosing not giving yourself the best chance of winning rather than being purely actively trying to lose.

And? It's the coaches job to think about things week to week within a season. Its the FOs to take a longer view over multiple seasons. The FO trading players they dont expect to here long term isnt the same as tanking.

I wasn’t criticizing the FO for trading players who aren’t in the future plans; just stating a fact that they’re not putting the best roster they possibly can on the field.

I agree with you they’re not tanking. Don’t get so defensive.

This post deserves a blue square around it.
