But i rather have more than a boarderline playoff team as the target for the franchise. When he had a franchise QB they won a Super Bowl and were always in the mix. They haven't had good QB play since Roethlisberger retired. Maybe you can lay some of that blame on him, but if you're worried about him being too conservative then I think it depends on his QB. He is too conservative for my taste, but still what he instantly does is stabilize the franchise. If he were to get fired you have to interview him. rns90

If Rodgers just ends up getting old this year , that’s another year where he has the no qb excuse. Him piling up average seasons while having no qb is a positive to me in terms of coaching ability. Probably would have been better off as an organization if he were a worse HC. IsntLifeFunny
Nash
Borgonzi was really authoritative at the press conference, and seems to be the captain of this ship.. I suspect this Coach is Borgonzi's pick, not AAS. SuperFreak90, DCTitan, Omar, and 1 other

She signed off on him just like she'll sign off on whoever Borgonzi and Brinker choose. ChesterCopperpot1

Im the guy who has been sitting back enjoying the blood bath, preaching patience, take the draft picks, build the team right. I all but gave the borgo/brinker this will be a long rebuild speach before they did. Your willingness to settle for an ok team, and not aiming for the real prize is what is wrong. Whatever stops the pain now is the goal. How about we bring in someone who we think is a winner, not a nanny who will keep the team from being an embarrassment. BTiger3733
Unfortunately I think NYG is objectively a better job opening than ours. They have young talent at QB, RB, WR, and ED as well as one of the best DLs in the NFL. All of that comes with a top 5 pick in this year's draft and the superstardom of the NY market. If Tomlin became available it'd hit probably just about every mark this organization would want. The only actual question is who Tomlin would bring as offensive coordinator. Nobody would expect a quick turnaround-- again we're really far away.

I wasn't talking about a quick turn around, that was in reference to you saying idk we are very very bad. What has he shown you to think he will take this organization to a championship? Because he only once after his initial success with Bill's team got back into contention. In the last 8 years they have been a painfully average team. Its qhy the jeff fisher comp is so appropriate. Thier careers are almost a mirror outside jeff was here for the build up for the titans and mike has not had the lows fisher did. The literal only reason I see for hiring Tomlin is to keep the Mike joke alive. Edited November 11 by Callidus
