Titans Head Coach Search 2026 (Working on deal with Saleh)

I could not watch this team if the coaches name was Jim Bob Cooter. That's not a real name. That's worse than a white guy named Liam or Quinton. (only one Liam/Quinton is cool and they're in hollywood, every other Liam/Quinton is a lame ass)

I don’t know how in the world he doesn’t just go by Jim or James. I’d lose my mind if we had to refer to our HC as fucking Jim Bob and his last name is Cooter

Well, quinton just means 5th child, how cool do you expect someone to be when their name is 5th kid to be born?

I can't imagine Lafleur loses his job. I think we are looking at the Salehs and Dabbols of the league (I don't care how to spell any of these names). Or we could keep McCoy. JK. We are likely to get one of these failed HCs, I would think. But remember that Vrabel was a failed HC when the Patriots hired him. Sometimes a guy just needs a change of scenery. Our team is bad because of the GM. We have hopefully fixed that problem. Whoever comes in gets a chance to build a team from scratch, with a top pick and a good, young QB already on the team. It's an attractive job, IMO. A team that can only get better...like literally historically bad. It can only go up.

One of my professor's  and my mentor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston was from Tyler Texas, and was named Bobby Ray , not Robert , but Bobby Ray.. he was one of the most brilliant people I ever knew, with an idetic memory, he could remember literally everything he ever read in his life, including page numbers, when and where he read it,  etc.. so a double name doesn't automatically mean Jim Bob is a dumbass..

“I think Saleh is at least going to elicit interest, and may well land a job. He’ll interview well, he’s very close with a lot of the Shanahan-McVay tree offensive coaches (so finding a good OC won’t be a chore), and he’ll be able to energize a franchise that’s fallen on hard times. I think you are going to see a variety of experience. My thought is they likely end up interviewing 10 guys and then doing 3-5 second interviews. I don’t think it’s going to be like last time where they locked Callahan in the building, they will be thorough. 
 

Off the top of my head, I would think these are the likely interviewees:

 

Klint Kubiak

Matt Nagy

Mike Kafka

Kliff Kingsbury

Ejiro Evero

Robert Saleh

Chris Shula

Jesse Minter

Jeff Hafley

A freshly fired coach like LaFleur or Stefanski

 

I may be in the minority, but I really like a defensive minded HC if they will stay out of the offensive room and hire a true HC for Offense. That allows them to actually be a HC and not worry about being an OC as well. Sean McVay types that can excel and handle it all are rare and not the norm. 
 

Just going off the list above……barring LaFleur being fired I really like Jeff Hafley and he’s been a HC before.
