But his playcalling and coaching days are over after this season... I heard PK this morning on the radio asked what the chances were that Callahan was still head coach in 2026 and he said 0%. First week, didn't know the elbow rule. I'd have stripped his ass of play calling after that game, then kept on stripping on every weekly blunder, until he was back to QB coach, or whatever he might can handle! Burrow gets murdered every year. Not entirely different than what Cam sees. Without Burrow and elite WRs, there's a lot of questions around that offense, imo. Cincinnati had 2 bottom 5 offenses, and 0 top 5 offenses despite elite skill players. I expected everyone to be able to see how poorly that reflects on the coaching staff, but instead I got simpleton shit like "they were 7 and that's close to 5!" Their offense seems to put QBs in positions to get sacked a fuck ton. 8 QBs over 2 teams and 9 total season indicates this offense gets sacked more than most offenses. The Bengals had the best QB/WRs situation in the league, and their offense regularly made things hard on the QB. Guys weren't just running open. Burrow was making insane throws and Chase was making insane individual plays. So the Bengals offense didn't seem like one to emulate. On top of that, Callahan wasn't even the main cook. He didn't call plays and he clearly didn't have that skill-set. IsntLifeFunny, croatian22, and Jamalisms

Ok, but what do we make of that tweet that showed the time-to-sack that showes how much time Cam had to get rid of the ball? The OL hasn't been good, but Cam has been hanging onto the ball a lot too. Is that because guys aren't open? If they aren't open is it because they're just struggling or is it because the routes they're running is creating too much traffic and making Cam's reads too muddy? The tweet itself called out Callahan. Just to be clear. Cam is a rookie and likes deep shots. I'm sure his tendencies are a factor. The WR group is questionable and has young talent playing big roles - could be issues there as well. Beyond that, I'm not sure how Next Gen Stats would include scrambling / escaping pressure before a throw but that could also be a factor. It's not all system/ play call driven. But there's plenty to indicate those are notable factors. japan, Callidus, NashvilleNinja, and 1 other

I don't typically cry over sports but when I was a junior in HS we were up 7 on a team that no one thought we had a prayer against. They were right to doubt us; we sucked. For whatever reason though, we were clicking that night. We ended up losing by 1. The only time I've ever cried due to sports. I say all that to say that when you put so much into something, it's normal for some people to cry. Everyone is built different. Callidus
