This move...a non firing but stripping of authority....keeps AAS from being labeled impulsive again.

The funny thing is there wasn't an easier situation for Callahan to keep his job. They decision makers were publicly squashing expectations and talking about patience. He basically had a free pass. Al

That has been my point. I think RPO's are not being counted in the PA numbers you've been seeing and they should be. The essentially become the same thing if chooses to pass out of the RPO.

They are.  If he passes out of it.

Are they?  Or do the stat coders log them as RPO's... that has been my question.  I am not confident the coders of the stats are differentiating it or not.    Is the coding categorical or will the log them correctly as both?

And then.. I am not sure how the analyst in theg particular site is pulling it.

There are actually 2 stories here. 1 is Robiskie leaving it all up to Mariota but also how simplistic Vrabel's offense is. We knew that though. It only worked when Henry ran well. Then the 2nd year teams figured it out and they tried to add some complexity and the team couldn't do it.

I was a big Marcus guy & love me some Henry but the offense exploded in 2019 when Tannehill took over. He was a monster that year. The offense wasn’t simplistic. It was definitely PA/downfield based, but Arthur Smith was largely using what MLF had implemented the year prior….

Tannehill had the highest Completion Percentage Over Expected ever recorded.  He was #3 in air yards per attempt and #6 in tight window throw % - the offense was tough on the QB, which is why Mariota failed so spectacularly.   Tannehill was even better than the numbers indicate.
