Maybe it was because Stanford's offense was so bad, but I don't recall seeing this from him either. 

 

Along with his size/speed/ball skills (albeit inconsistent) , they may have something here.

GMs that last a long time all have terrible stretches with the draft. 

 

What's smart about Brinker/Borgonzi is they prioritize acquiring extra picks, players who don't miss games and players who love playing. Those traits and that strategy improve the chance of success. 

 

But none of this matters in the end, you either have a good QB or you don't. Which is also reliant on mostly luck. 

Which makes Andrew Luck quite ironic.

Yup. I had to go back and watch it like 3 times. Didn't know he had that in his game. I've been having a really good feeling about him being a dude for a while now.

NGL, I really don't see the similarities to that whip route. Obviously he's had it in his bag all along but even in this cut-up, that level of stop/start ability isn't present. Everything in the cut-up is pretty one-cut or linear which is what I remember most about him.

I didn't even know that he could one -cut effectively.  I just assumed he was a size/speed guy who lacked route running acumen, or else he wouldn't have lasted until the end of the 4th.  Hopefully there's more we haven't seen due to Stanford's terrible offense/QB.

Same. I thought he was a late second rounder, but that was because of his in-air body control. I definitely never saw any routes looking anything like that. @Starkiller was saying he couldn't get open against man...that route tells a different story for sure. Even if that was a backup DB it was still extremely precise for a guy with his build.
