Jamalisms
Stonehouse feels like the kicker version of a limited, kinda maybe QB. Lots of things to like but just kills you in certain areas to where eventually you're willing to move on in search of someone better even if it means you might get worse. Nash
If we can get a few first downs each drive rather than 3 and outs, Hector will be fine.. maybe that's the idea?? freakingeek

But on a 65-yard punt and a 10-15 yard return, you're still netting 50-55 yards...which is excellent. It only became a problem last year.... Colt Anderson took over ST and decided punt coverage units needed no coaching or coordination...and suddenly teams were ripping off 2-3 huge returns a game. I blame Anderson for the ST issues way more than I blame Stonehouse. Well you're a fan boy so...... Titans clearly don't agree with you.

titanruss
Hekker will be fine but dumping Stonehouse was retarded. Punters take a few years to get down the intricacies of the game. He was improving on directional punting and hangtime last season in leaps. Absolutely stupid to get rid of him and in denver he will set records that dont get broken for decades. ST was squarely on the shoulders of a dumb ST coaching hire. Having 4 first time HC/coordinators should not have been allowed for this staff. pat
TWR
Stonehouse was terrible. Zero hangtime as well- . OILERMAN

It got much better twords the end of the year. Ironically this was also a problem early in his career and he fixed it. If i had to guess the hang time issue was because he was so afraid of being hit again. Still cant kick anything byt straight though. titanruss

I don't usually think appeals to authority are appropriate, but after what we've seen the past few years it's 100% warranted here. Bones didn't want you? Like the Theon Greyjoy of punters, with Vrabel and whatever that dumb ass's ST name was combining to play the role of Ramsey Bolton. I think it was @oldschool but I’m not sure. Props to whomever that was. It was a lot of people. But for some reason everyone else was just soooo obsessed with his total punt distance completely disregarding his net and how often he outkicked the coverage compared to whoever was on the Chiefs. I remember people whining so much whenever that KC guy would win ST player of the month rns90, and OILERMAN

I remember people whining so much whenever that KC guy would win ST player of the month Townsend, and even with outkicking him coverage his net punt yards were still elite, especially for a guy punting near twice us as much as everyone else because of our shity offense. He was 5th and 3rd his first two years only 1.5 and .4 yards behind the top guy both times. Im not saying we needed to keep him, but this revisionist history about his effectiveness is strange. titanruss
