Was the single strongest overall GM candidate out there, imo.   I'm glad they didn't pigeonhole themselves into a college-scouting-guy-only for the position.   First time I remembe

Is Amy Wells alone now?

Until they hire a new play by play guy at least. But they could pair her with one of the other guys who they often rotate on the show.

I bet they hire Jonathan Hutton

I was thinking maybe Ramon Foster and Rhett Bryan as they are already on the staff. Maybe Jim Wyatt as he was an actual journalist once upon a time.

That said, the structure, intentionally, is a little different than what most NFL teams employ. Or a lot different. Callahan will report to Borgonzi, and Borgonzi will report to Brinker in a setup that mirrors what you’d see in other sports. Borgonzi will oversee coaching, scouting, sports medicine, sports performance and player development, and have final say on the roster. The idea, generally, is to allow Borgonzi to focus on building the team and football operation, and take some other newer-age elements of the job off his plate.

This is interesting because a lot of posters have said that the structure we have is NOT abnormal.

This very team had the same setup from 1999-2003....and Denver had this setup back when Elway was there.  GB has this setup as well.

And regardless of the levels involved, the whole "final say" stuff the local media keeps on crying about ignores that at some point it rolls up to an owner.

This idea it's some revolutionary setup was and is stupid.

Just last week Buck was still trying to act like the team bumbled their way into the hire and that he was somehow still absolutely correct about all of it, including that Vrabel should have been given full control lolol.

Honestly I put zero stock in any of the local media people covering the team.  PK might be the best but he's also petty/stubborn.

Collectively they made complete fools of themselves about the organizational structure pandering to dumb fucks mad that the owner is not in the public eye or that they fired the black guy.
