What I recall is him saying he liked Ran, thought he'd be a good Assistant GM, but that he wasn't ready to be a GM.

Now as time went on and they worked together, maybe that got worse.....I'd say them pressuring him into naming Levis the starter and trying to trade Henry were flash points.

I think Amy is probably upset about not keeping Henry also. Not that we would have been right to keep him - but watching him have the year he just had is probably reminding her of losing AJ.

The crying over the team firing a bad GM has been hilarious.

“Just all they want to do is scout, go out on the road in the fall and find football players. Because we’ve got to get it right. We have to get good football players in this building, we have to get playmakers in this building, particularly at positions that influence the outcomes of games. We’ve got to get to a point where we have seven difference-makers or impact starters on our team.”

That sounds wonderful to me.

Not only was his strategy (expensive free agency) wrong but also his tactics (Levis, etc.).  He wanted to make a big splash early in his tenure and failed.

My horse is that guy. He lacks the polish you normally want for the GM role, but it sounds like Brinker wants that gritty football nerd. Sadowski is all-in on analytics and has seen success at multiple orgs.

On the NFL Insiders today Tom Pelissero threw out another name to watch in Colts Assistant GM Ed Dodds.

Worked for Schneider in Seattle so there’s GB scouting roots there

What is usually the timetable for teams hiring GMs in the offseason? I assume it usually pretty quick with all the offseason decisions.

I think AAS did it in 2-3 weeks last time
